How do you guys see Canada?

For the most part no, some of our areas do have different accents, just like yours do.
But for the most part we do have the same type of accent.

 

Of what i've heard is that Canadian are friendly and have democracy and the same system in health care as Denmark.

ohh and yeah.. those who invented Icehockey, wich i can only thank you guys for!

 

I think of hockey honestly, and then my mind is drawn to the fact only 1 candian team is a cup contender. but your country is great its got very nice areas etc.

Lol, I've never learned to speak french, nor do I speak like someone who would speak french with that weird accent lol.

But yea there's probably a bunch of people that do, only a very small percentage of our Country is french though .

We're actually not a true democracy We're a constitutional representative monarchy. We don't vote directly for our leader, we vote for a representative of their party in our neighborhood. Whichever party gains the most ridings gains either a minority or a majority government, and the party's leader becomes Prime Minister. I'm cool with that though, because most of the changes that will affect you as a citizen directly will be by the representative in your riding, so you technically vote for which changes you'd like to see in your neighborhood.

Not to mention we usually only have like 5 voting candidates when at the polls I hear Americans receive a huge book and have to flip through it.

 

Nothing more than the country to the north really. I've played with multiple Canadians before, they sound the same in vent ect, except when it comes to certain words i suppose which is just the difference in the dialect.

I did wonder how they get milk in bags though. Something ill have to google..

I agree with you that a good majority of the French people do have a weird accent but not all of them.
It's simply the fact of passing to a language to another that confuses French people sometimes.


Canada is a pretty nice country, tones of things to do and we've got a decent weather

 

Who is canada? lol but seriously idk you guys seem alright never hear anything about you guys so I guess thats a good thing and the few candians I have met have been pretty laid back.

I don't really pay much attention to you folks. I'd like to visit sometime, but I don't really care if anyone's Canadian. We're all people.

 

Yo chill lol. That's just peoples opinions on what they think of Canada.

And I didn't mean to insult you if you're from Quebec, but from the two times I've visited there, it seemed if you spoke English, French Canadian people treated you always in a condescending tone. On top of that, I meet tons of people on Xbox LIVE who put 'qc' in their gamertag, just because they're from Quebec, and then they talk shit to me the second I tell them I'm from Alberta.

This is pretty much why. Of course not everyone there are assholes, but somehow I meet a lot of people from Quebec who are complete dicks.

 

Were I live some guy was accused of being canadian so he got made fun of until he proved he wasn't

 

No real opinion on it, I just think it's a pretty cool country.

I went there a few years ago to Quebec, and loved it. Very cool place
