JMod Pass leaked (dont get your hopes up)

Mod_Kelvin's pass has been leaked today on Oct-08-2011. Some guys brute-forced the pass from RuneHQ. The JMod had an account on RuneHQ, and he used the same pass for RuneHQ as he did for RS.

Username: Mod_Kelvin
Pass: Kpnuts

It works, but you can't get in-game, so don't get your hopes up. You get message "Your account is locked" when you login. No other pass gets the same message though. This pass is legit.

Try it yourself. You get "Invalid Password" message when you login with another password.

Note: You'll only successfully login (i.e. get past the lock-out phase) when you access their server from Jagex's internal network. Players logging in to a JMod acc from outside of their network are considered unauthorized and get the "account locked" message. Don't attempt to recover the account, your attempt will be logged by Jagex. /note

It's cool that the pass was leaked, mainly 'cause the JMod used the same password for RS and a fansite, when their own game advises against that practice. It doesn't matter though, since the login locks-out any unauthorized users.

What are your thoughts on this JMod fail?

Oh fuck I followed the link to recover the account and it said, "You cannot submit appeals for staff accounts. This attempt has been logged."

let's hope all my acc's won't be locked.

 

Why would you want someone to lose their job/career? Kind of messed up if you ask me...

I always thought that a JMod Pass would have to be something like 98723bdkjhgds73iud6678bt66.

 

I forgot to mention. Don't attempt to recover the account for that reason.

 

I only wanted to see his recovs or something but I didn't know that would happen :S

I'm sure you'll be fine, mate. What are they gonna do lol? You didn't even login to the game or cause panic, you just got the lock-out message. You're safe ^_^ I mean, Jagex knows its players cant login into their JMod accounts outside their network, so what does a recovery attempt matter to them?

I wish the guy could login to the game to spawn items and stuff, haha. That'd be awesome.

 

According to this thread, the acct was locked after 8 hours, contrary to what I thought about being unable to log in outside of Jagex HQ/Offices and the account insta-locked if it is logged in elsewhere.. IDK if that information is true however.
