Minecraft full release date

Mojang has already stated that they will be full releasing the game at Minecon, but here we have the official day and some more info on the full release.

A lot of people don't know the release date, so this is for the people who don't.

 

Already knew this, but good to have as not everyone does.

 

Do you think they'll raise the price once it's released?

 

Yes they already said they would which is why its a good idea to buy it now.

 

I don't think most people knew it was a beta, they stopped adding the verison number at the top a few updates ago and its not like the game was filled with bugs.

I guess the only real change is going to be the price.

 

I hate how they're "unsure" whether updates will be free for beta users :/

in my opinion, Notch is a talented, but inexperienced businessman. I honestly don't think that minecraft will last for long.

 

I agree with the businessman part, but im pretty sure they have said multiple time that all future updates will be free for people who purchased the beta.

 

There's an old twitter post about alpha players getting free updates, but that they're not sure about beta players yet :/

If its old that would explain why. They have repeatedly said that its better to buy the game now because when the full version comes out, you won't have to get it, and it will cost more.

I am NOT willing to spend money on updates!
It's not like they're DLC's..

Yes, all players who bought the game will get the game free from Alpha and beyond. As for Beta, you (I believe) will get the full version free as well. Otherwise, Beta will have to buy again. But I can confirm Alpha will get it free.

 

Beta gets it for free as well, that is one of their main selling points.

 

In which case I'm off to go buy my own Minecraft premium account. Or find a gift code.

No, both alpha and beta gets the full version. It said so in the ToS (Yes, I actually do read those things, when I buy games!)

 

I know Alpha will get it free, and Notch stated if you buy it as a Beta you will get the full game release too. If he changes his mind and makes us rebuy then I think a lot of us will turn to "playing but not buying".
