Your first experience with..

I had my first toke of weed when I was 12 and at the local skatepark, and some of my friends who had started smoking asked me if I wanted to puff on a joint with them. I accepted, but didn't feel too much. I casually used marijuana until highschool, when I started drinking and getting into real trouble.

I had this psychedelic thing going on for a year or two, where I was VERY interested in the whole hippy culture of the 60's, all the music and experiences, the art, the acid and the mushrooms. I spent alot of time with my friends on weekends tripping on acid and shrooms, experimenting with girls, art, music and smoking weed and drinking. My intentions for drugs were always for "mind expanding" purposes, and I vowed I would never use drugs like ecstasy and cocaine etc. I was also very heavily into drinking and was starting to get into lots of trouble when alcohol was involved.

By the time I was halfway towards 16, I began to use hard drugs. My reasons for doing drugs had completely changed. I would freak out and go insane everytime I tried to drop acid or mushrooms as I had grown very depressed and the drugs always brought out my mental state to the surface. So I began using "party" drugs in a social atmosphere, so I could still have fun with all my friends. I started taking ecstasy and going to raves, before long I was snorting cocaine with my friends too. Over the years I encountered various substances and began taking pills and smoking crack and crystal meth reguarly, with prescribed opiates being my favourite drugs (mainly oxycodone). Before long, I came across heroin, and now I have been battling an intravenous heroin addiction for nearly 2 years.

So yes, in the OP's terms, I am a "druggie". But I am not ashamed of it. I am getting my life back together slowly, and with the help of counselling and support groups, I am trying to tackle my problem at the roots and figure out why I use drugs and alcohol to numb my feelings and deal with my problems. I also take methadone every single day in front of a pharmacist, because I am physically addicted to heroin, and I get very sick without opiates running through my veins at all times. I am only 20 years old.

I think kids will always experiment with drugs, but I urge you to be safe and responsible when using. I always thought I had control and would never become an addict, or experience the kind of horror stories that they teach you about in school. But here I am now, living in this hell every single day.

 

first time I even got "tipsy", my lightweight (ex) girlfriend got extremely drunk, got naked and fell asleep on another guys lap, woke up and started crying for 5 hours. I stayed up with her all night. Haven't done anything else since.

Thats a heart to heart story. I'm sorry to see that the hard drugs took the best of you.. I've never done Coke/Extasy/Meth/Heroine and I never will.
E though who knows haha..

A'ight well this has changed, during class on Thursday, we have a pep rally, so I skipped with these kids I had just met, and we popped some E. Thank god I never went to class after (we had the afternoon classes still). Plus on Friday I went to a party and dropped some Acid.

Never doing e again, shit's waaaay to risky to do, and acid was actually fucking crazy.

 

I recommend no one do Ecstasy. It's usually always cut with speed and very little MDMA. If you really want to experience it, then you have to just get some Molly which is pure MDMA. I haven't seen a roll in probably 2 years and the only thing around where I live is Molly. Honestly though, it's pretty overrated. I would much rather do 2c which is basically doing MDMA, but with mild visuals. As far as psychedelics go, Acid is hard to beat. Glad you had a good experience. It's not nearly as bad as so many people think.

Where i'm from its totally different. Theres kinds that are little MDMA..but you can buy some that are pretty much pure.. Green bowling balls are the shit here.

I appreciate the support guys. I found a good thread here on Sythe concerning addictions & withdrawal and I started posting my personal story there. After the amount of positive support I recieved, I have become alot more comfortable sharing with the wonderful people here on Sythe. Talking about my experiences not only helps me accept and deal with it myself, but I feel good knowing that there might be someone else on this forum who reads my words and makes a wiser and more educated decision when it comes to their own drug use. Drugs can be amazing, but they also ruin countless lives and destroy peoples souls. Drugs are not for everyone. However, if you can use drugs recreationally and enjoy the positive experiences without letting them run your life, then I applaud you and admire your willpower and confidence.
