Luring should NOT be allowed on sythe

I've never liked luring.. it is a form of scamming. I know there are people who are dumb enough to fall for them but there are also those who are dumb enough to fall for scammers. In the end, the people with the bad intentions are the ones to be punished because not everyone is smart, we are born different and we have our weaknesses.

Also, just want to point out. What would be the point in making it against the rules?
How are you going to prove that you got lured by someone?

I'm not sure why you would ban discussion about it, or loots from it. It's something interesting to talk about, luring tactics and loots.

It's closer to PKing than scamming. You can always get away in the middle of a lure.. You can't protect your money after you've already been scammed.

No support from me it's been around for awhile and he haves no effects to the site and if your stupid enough to go in a dangerous area and lose your stuff it's ur own fault and if you lure your friend ur a twat at the end if the day.

 

Support only if the player is so new they had no idea or chance of knowing the term 'luring'. I learned the hard way. That is not something I wish on anyone.

 

If they are really that new and ignorant to ignore all the safe guards jagex put in place then I doubt they even have that much to lose any way

 

We should not have it because Jagex does not allow it?
Jagex does not allow account selling, other people going on your account , gold farming/training and you can get banned for these reasons.
Should we destroy the runescape market simply because Jagex does not allow it?

Honestly, If your dumb enough to get lured, you deserve it.

 

The reason I believe the staff originally allowed luring was because of this post http://sythe.org/showpost.php?p=9035619&postcount=70 . However now that this has been proven false, it should fall into the same category as conorf43's high pardon.

This has been suggested and denied before.

Jagex does not allow it, but they don't allow RWT, or botting, so why should we start following their rules for this?

Also its more of a morals thing then a "scam". Luring is so easy to avoid anyways, because its quite obvious when someone is trying to bring you into the wildy.

 

Ultimately, does that mean duel arena bugging is against the rules as well? In the end, it is scamming.

 

It's not that easy to avoid for everyone.

Anyways, I've always been against luring. It's deceptive and misuses one's trust in order to steal their items.

I think, however, that the main reason luring wasn't banned as it'd wipe out a lot of the userbase....so, why not just ban its discussion/pictures?

 

This topic has been discussed over and over, the conclusion is we will allow it.
