Specify what falls under "poor trading practices"

In the Sythe.org rules - The Official Sythe.org Rules - it is stated that "you may receive a TWC for poor trading practices".

This is quite vague, and it is extremely unclear what is considered poor trading practices and what isn't.

Here's an example:

This would imply that we always need to have the product in stock when we accept an order. Yet in many cases, this isn't realistic because ban rates are high and a lot of people outsource trades.

My suggestion is that a list is made with EVERYTHING that is considered "poor trading practices", so that everyone knows what is allowed and what is not. This list should be added to the official sythe rules, so that everything is clear and transparent and no more misunderstandings arise.

 

Then at least start noting down scenarios in the rules once they come up in reports. Right now the only way to find out would be to scroll through thousands of reports in the archives. That is not efficient.

If these rules are not formulated and written down anywhere, then how can people abide them? People on this website often have no idea what is expected from them.

The basic principle should be
1) Anything in the poor trading practices list should be a TWC
2) If it's not in the list yet, but the staff team thinks that it should be, issue a warning to the first offender and then add it to the list

Over time, it will become complete and useful. A poor trading practice in someone's eyes might not be a poor trading practice in someone else's eyes. That term is way too vague and says nothing

Additionally, most situations can be grouped and addressed through clear, generalized guidelines.

 

A bit on the fence for this one
In my opinion only looking at this single case is looking too narrow, majority of the sythe.org rules need a bit of a refresher to be brought into 2026.
Especially considering that majority of it was written many years ago and a lot is vastly outdated & vague.
