Why Do You Enjoy MineCraft?

Well to me as my opinion I dont find minecraft interesting so I would like to know from you guys what makes this so interesting to you?

 

The fact you can do whatever you want.
Currently I don't feel like playing it. I have a stack and a half of diamonds, a stack of iron blocks, made a castle etc etc, find it so boring. D:

 

I play it because everyone at my schools plays it during their free time, we even have multiple school servers set up Plus I got it for free which is a plus. Although to be honest, I don't really like the game too much, I only play it since all my friends do.

 

Haha most of my friends play it I tried once but didnt know what to do lol

 

I enjoy it because it's fun to make your own little world and house and stuff It's even more fun with friends just mucking around.

In my opinion the game is only fun, if you got some friends to play it with; singleplayer just gets boring too fast, unless you got some nice plugins/mods installed. Normally, I'm building stuff or playing around with redstone. I'm not really into the survival part as of right now, but I surely will be after the 1.8 update!

 

I never tried survival nor have I played with friends or installed mods but I might try sometime.

 

it is really cool that you can do pretty much anything you want and can use a lot of imagination throughout the game, despite the bad graphic is a decent time killer.

 

I actually like old graphic games brings me back

 

It is one of the games you really need to enjoy building in. You need to have some sort of creativity in your thought process to truly have fun. Some of the things built in this game are insane - my friend built a replica of the Mayflower (1:1 scale).

Another one pretty much re-built skull mountain.

If you like PVP there are some really good mods for that as well.

The best mod out there (in my opinion) is the runecraft mod. Although you truly have to be on a server with others to help you it makes it so much easier to build larger and more extravagant things (large castles).

There are two different types of building methods - actually going and finding your own (I find this leisurely and enjoyable), or the "give" method - a power given to the admin/operator (gives them item #x in quantities). My friend and I used the give method on our old server and quite literally just had TNT wars all the time - we even filled a large crater with TNT to blow it up and see what would happen [Please note that even with a highly sophisticated computer this WILL lag you to hell]. Haha.

In my newest server I dug a tunnel (which will soon be minecart transportation) from my house all the way to spawn! On the way there are 3 dungeons (monster-spawning blocks with treasurechests and moss stone floor) inside. These are SO much fun to try to get into and beat.

Going back to mods for a second - if you don't find "hunting" for materials to be exhilarating, look up "Finder Compass" on the Minecraft Forums. While it doesn't give you exact locations of the minerals you're looking for, it scans within a certain range of you - I personally use this because I like digging like this... and it gives me a slight advantage (13 blocks of diamond [9 diamonds per block] advantage)

Also, go skimming through the texture packs. They always give you a new and unique look at the minecraft world.

@@Sengira - The new 1.8 Mob (Enderman) looks like a combination of the zombies from Zelda (Ocarina of Time) and ghosts from Mario 64.

Hmm, well your banned for some reason. Either way, I was insanely addicted after I survived my first night. It was the only game I played for about a week. It's gotten boring all of a sudden, and multiplayer is glitchy at the moment. So what I think we all need to get us addicted again is a 1.8 update!

 

I love the freedom and the explorations elements of minecraft. When I first started I played it nonstop and now im kind of bored of it. Multiplayer servers are insanely fun though, so those are still worth playing. Notch's new adventure will probably bring me back to single player though.
