Scammed, Good-bye runescape

Well i know must of you are going to call me a dumb ass for doing this but i saw "xi aphex xi" , who is a famous pker with 6k subs, was selling his account and i got tired of my main so i decided i would buy it for 250m and he even talked to me on skype and it sounded like him.
but as soon as i gave him the money he logged out and got off msn.
I guess you can't trust anyone on runescape anymore.
So im not quiting because of losing 250m, im quiting because of the runescape community. Im tired of playing with 2k11 trolls, scammers, botters, lurers, 9 year old kids.
I vided it but its going to take 6 hours to upload so i will get that uploaded tomorrow
Not sure if i will stay on sythe, not really a point to stay if i dont even play runescape.
So don't trade "xi aphex xi" and if your subbed to him then go unsub

Yeah, other pkers like Smite Yo BGS do this too, everyone's pixelhungry nowadays, it's quite sad.

 

Dude, I got scammed out of three months worth of hard work in gold. I wanted to quit so hard as soon as it happened, but now a week later im still here. Im working to make everything back, but this time Ill be safer. Keep your head up and just enjoy posting on sythe while you make your money back.

Yep, the runescape community is so shitty these days. I've grown out of the game its so boring I can't even play. But, when I log on there's always some little kid who thinks hes better than everyone else and insults people with the lamest 9 year old jokes like your mom jokes. Then, there's the scammers like Win all days clan, randoms in the GE ect. I recently watched a video of a guy by the name of bonesaw, he quit for the same reasons. The community is shit and jagex just doesn't care. Its all about the money these days.

Just because people have subs doesn't mean they are trustworthy. I was really good friends with a pretty famous pker for a long time (I don't want to release his name though). A few days after ft came back (when gold was still above $1 a mil), I asked him to help me put 250m on an alt account...ofc he logged out, never to be seen by me or any other member of items forums until recently.

Tl;dr- just because they are famous doesn't mean they aren't scammers. Subs don't equal vouches...think of them as post count.

Bro i feel for you. My friend got scammed by his so called friend. His friend showed him a vid of a program duping items and told him to download the program. It was of course, a logger, A good one too. He logged on and got white screened and thats when the fucker went on and took his 50m bank. Its not much but its more than me and him have ever had put together.

We are probly just going to sell our accounts and quit, theres way too many 2k11 trolls, scammers, botters, lurers, and 9 year old kids, as you said.


It used to just the be RS Black market community to where it was like 15% of rs was like that, now its over 50%. By RSBM i mean the entire RSBM not just sythe.

 

yea i might be quiting also from being scammed 50m from a dicing game..

 

Seen you around the forums posting, its sad that getting scammed is one of the biggest reasons people quit Runescape and Sythe.

Unlucky, bad loss. I think that it is a tempting offer and you can't really blame yourself, however I wouldn't quit... Look at the prices of mills nowadays, if really wanted just buy some more and work yourself back.

 

i would 100% agree with him, you cant do anything on RS now without thinking okay, am i getting scammed, am i being lured ect. its getting to the point of where people are just going to quit like he is just because of this. And theres really no getting rid of them :/

 

Don't give up! Yeah there are lots of scammers but the community on sythe is fun.

Quit a couple months ago for the same reason.
Too many 2k11 prods think they're the shit because they can use mommy's credit card and buy bills of gold. Sythe is a good community though, even if you don't play Rs there is still the Off Topic section which is fun.

 

I highly doubt you're going to quit. But that does sound unfortunate. Sorry for your loss.

Bro, don't quit.. I've learned to only trust a select few. After I was phished for 7B by a "friend" I was very pissed, but never once did quitting cross my mind. Don't let the scammers, trolls, etc. beat you.. just keep working at it and come back stronger next time.. it's been 2 months now since I lost 7B but I'm finally on the right track. I don't have much at the moment, but it's more than I've had for a while and I won't stop until I get my gold-selling business up and running again. Good luck bro.. I've seen you around these forums before and you seem like a cool guy, would be a shame to see you go.
