Creating a website about runescape (Like sythe for example)

I might create a website for fun in the near future. I'm wondering if it is possible to get caught by jagex for creating Forums and Categories with a black market.

Like selling gold, accounts, membership and so on.
What could jagex do?

Is changing the ToS enough?

 

If you don't know this basic stuff, then stop trying.

 

I honestly don't think Jagex would be too bothered, considering 99% of new forums fail.

Runescape players don't need anymore forums when there's already forums such as sythe, runescape community. etc.

 

I can literally see this guy using a free forum host lol. Bro, to make a successful forum like sythe, you'll need :

Hosting
Domain
Money.

Make a Black market + Runescape cheating forum but release some cool stuff on it first like cracked neXus scripts so you get members

use .org because .com is lame but if you want to be cheap use .net

 

I wouldn't even try. If you don't know the basics of web laws and generally don't know what you're doing, there's no way in hell it'll even be worth it for you in the long run. Educate yourself, read some articles, look into the history of Sythe and other failed/successful sites then hop into it. HtCowboy is right too, you'll need a lot of money for hosting, domains, and especially advertising.

 

Just do it it's not that hard, the internet has no laws

IMO, there are too many things that you can get in trouble for and if you don't know what you're getting into, it's probably better not to get into it at all.

 

if you live in the USA jagex cant touch for copyright because there not a registered trdemark in the USA you have to go to an office and sign sumthing for it to be a trademark ( i think thats why sythe is hosted in the US i could be wrong tho) if you live anywere in europe then i woudnt suggest making a website that violates jagex's trademark

 

If jagex catches you, they will ban all your accounts.

Just ask yourself - is it worth the risk?

 

Just make a website without "rs" in the domain and if you do something wrong I'm sure someone will notify you so you can fix it

 

Well, its basicly a normal community (German one) and i already got like 3k registered members. I'm thinking about launching a black market because alot people already trade gold and rare names.
