For every selling thread for gift cards, don't you have to post a picture with your sythe name? Doesn't that just cover the whole illegal portion of it, or is there something I'm missing.

Ot, Busta, I totally agree, it's highly illegal to be doing what they are doing, using stolen CC's to purchase cards, then selling here for less than they are worth

 

It's also kind of like PayPal chargebacking.

I had a guy admit to me that he was buying giftcards and stuff with his OWN credit card, then once someone purchases on craigslist, he calls the credit card company and tells them they were unauthorized. They will always win, because $100 giftcards bought 5 times looks suspicious. When you try to use it, YOU might even be liable for stolen property.

Let's take upgrades for example. I mean, the method used to upgrade the account might not be "legal" but it's allowed to upgrade their account anyways. Why should this be treated any different?

It is a black market of course, you take a risk buying anything in the black market.

 

While yes, I agree that the person on the thread probably stole the cards, you also posted that people don't buy cards only to sell for less online. I disagree with that, I have sold $125 worth of gift cards for around $50, simply since I got them from my birthday parties and wanted to turn them into rsgp So one can't assume that someone stole the cards just because they are selling the cards for less.

 

You got them as gift you didn't buy it, he said he bought them.

I agree with OP, I'm sure there will be mods who want to help out with that sort of thing.

 

I just don't get how you would determine whether or not they have been obtained legally.
