No TwC for hacked, yet trusted members.

Example: Punkerpunk13 has received a TwC rank. But it's not like you have to trade him with caution, because he's as honest as it gets (almost 800 vouches). Instead, I think it'd be good to have a different 'rank' for people that were recently hacked. It's not like Punkerpunk13 should be traded with caution, it's just that he's recently been hacked. This will not be good for his business, as people tend to find someone else once they see a TwC.

"Recently hacked" rank? or something like that. Because these members aren't to be traded with caution, their hackers are.

 

When I was hacked, I had no scam reports against me, and no one knew about it until I was banned for "Impersonating yourself"(towards me)

The hacker had control of my computer, and used it when I was away from my computer(Sleeping, always left computer on to bot/etc)

As soon as I got banned, I disputed it, and I received a TWC, had it for like 1-2 months, disputed and it was removed.

You should always trade, every member, with extreme caution. Ask Viou, I personally took 10 pictures of a simple 1,500m for 600$ trade.

You have to understand, once a person is hacked, there is nothing stopping another hacking from happening if they do not properly remove the virus/keylogger (Which many people do not know how.)
While being infected, anything you type, is saved in a file and available to be downloaded at anytime by the hacker.


And to be quite honest, the other large gold trader who was hacked, received a TWC, and his "business" as you call it, has been flourishing, even dispute the unfortunate rank.

And as for Punker, when his first hacking happened, he was banned for about 2 days I believe, and he was still receiving buys and sales, WHILE BEING BANNED.

The rank is there just to warn other members to take more caution, and take more pictures and be safe.


Tldr; No support.

 

It just proves that the user is insecure. Warranted IMO. It's not that hard for trusted members to get rid of the TwC anyway.

Recently hacked can lead people to beleive that they hack other people, not the other way arround. Denied support.

The "trade with caution" rank doesn't mean your a scammer. I know where you are coming from. But the trade with caution rank means exactly what it says. You muse trade with "caution". The rank doesn't give a reason why you should "trade with caution" with that person, however in most cases people assume it was for scamming.

The ranks should stay implied since you can't tell if its the hacker or a real person behind the computer.

 

Then we make it 'has recently been hacked', that's a bad argument ._.

 

I don't see the logic in that..
"Recently Hacked"
Doesn't mean they hack other people, I don't even see where someone would think that "Recently Hacked" = "Hacks people"
If the person hacked someone....they will be perm banned.

 

As someone who has a TwC for having his msn hacked, I'll offer my insight on this.

For someone with Punkerpunk's rep, it won't affect business. Anytime someone asks why I have a TwC, I just say that my msn got hacked in the past. This actually keeps other traders safe, in that it forces people to pm the person with the TwC to ensure that it's them they're talking to. I don't think it's a bad idea, but I think 6 months is a bit long of a duration

 

6months is a large time frame, but I disputed mine in the first month(Maybe 2nd month, unsure of exact) and it was removed with enough support.

I've never had a virus and I've been hacked before.

The best way to secure your sythe account is to put a private msn which you don't tell anybody. Also I don't recommend people to use a hush email to be linked with your sythe account because if you are ratted/keylogged/etc it's impossible to recover your sythe account.

On topic: A recently hacked rank might be the best solution when you get hacked. A twc means trade with caution because the person is shifty, but a person who is hacked usually isn't shady (except aro).

I'd support lessening the duration of the twc as 6 months seems like too long of a time. Perhaps the twc should stay for a week or two, and then switch to the recently hacked rank?
