Uh..

Not to bash on Punkerpunk or anything, but how come he doesn't have a TwC? He had two back-to-back MSN hackings and was let loose. Everyone else that has had a MSN hacking has gotten a TwC.

Video got hacked twice in a span of 15 months (compared to twice in a week) and got a TwC. ChristmasCracker got hacked once, no scam report, and still received one.

And also, you guys need to do something about this "My MSN is hacked, so I can scam" thing. Anyone can claim they're hacked, but can really scam. The only reason these people pay up is because they have a scam report on them.

About the msn hacking thing it seems to be a trend lately.

 

Yea, it's happened quite a lot in the past few weeks. It's sort of annoying as hell.

 

How would we be able to figure out whether he/she is actually really hacked? I am not sure how Karl caught Aroxez but if what he did would work for everyone else, it'd be good for the community.

And, not sure if I can discuss this here (If not, I'm sorry) but one hacking should deserve a TwC imo.

 

Sometimes user's really do get hacked and can't help it. I think that, yes they should have a TwC banner, but it should be given out a little bit more lightly.

 

What Hahanerd said in the first post is;
A user can claimed to be hacked, the "hacker" scams 10 people for 1bil each.
Only 3 people report it.
So the person who claimed to be hacked, now has to pay back only 3bil, since only 3 of the 10 people reported it. The person who claimed to be hacked(which really wasn't) now walks away with 7bil and a TWC for a few months.

There needs to be an alternative to these hackings.

FYI, I am NOT saying Drennon did this whatsoever. Drennon isn't stupid enough to do this. He's a good guy.

 

I suggest 3rd time getting hacked = permanently banned

Not 2nd as everybody has second chances plus if they got really hacked, then they should be able to learn on how to prevent it the next time.

 

Well, second chance would be a perm ban on the 2nd, from what I think of 2nd chances.

First hack, temp banned.
Second chance initiated
Second hack, perm banned.

But, I do not agree to this.

 

@CC: It's the victim's responsibilty to post a proper scam report.

If someone comes back from being hacked, they should just have a TwC for 3-6 months. After that, they should be able to dispute it.

 

And it's the persons responsibility to not get hacked in the first place.

 

And also, most people wouldn't bother taking screenshots as the person they're dealing with is considered trusted so when they do get scammed, they have nothing to prove that they got scammed thus not being able to file a scam report.

 

Honestly have zero sympathy for people that have this happen to them, take shots and get proof, no matter who your dealing with

I think the third time one gets hacked within a one and a half year period should warrant a permanent bank.

1st time- Temp ban with TWC
2nd time- 3 month ban with TWC
3rd time- Perm ban?

I feel that even these might be too loose, however suppose someone got hacked a 3rd time (like punker or video), I wouldn't want them to be banned! I think it would be best just to do a case by case review when handing out bans.

 

You can't just do case by case bans if everyone keeps claiming that they're hacked.

 

I don't believe you should be perminently banned for being hacked if its genuine.

 

If it happens once theres a bigger chance of it happening again. I support users getting TwCed if they get hacked.

 

Depending on how often the msn account is getting hacked I think mods should use disgression (which they do) to decide on the punishment. Punishment should range from TwC > market ban > temp > perm.

 

Just like to point out that's a lie. My MSN wasn't hacked twice. It wasn't even back to back. Hard for you to say with in a couple of days is back to back. Malwarebytes and avg didn't bring any viruses at all back. Of course I thought I was clean?

Also, if you really think you need to, "trade with caution", with me because I was hacked, your a bit dumb in my opinion. This is clearly just to bash me.

Since I was banned, I still successfully traded more than 90% of Sythe do in their entire stay here. There's no reason to give me a trade with caution. If I wanted to scam and say I was hacked, I wouldn't done it for 415m to an experienced syther. I would of probably done it to the people that trade me billions every day that hardly use Sythe. Please don't bash me on a feedback thread. Couldn't of PM'ed a global's thoughts on this? Odd that you thought it needed to come this far, espcially from you.

I even went out and bought a new computer to get back on Sythe securely. That really sounds like somebody that somebody should trade with caution with? Hasn't nate and viou's msn's been comprimised? Hell, hasn't R2's entire team's msn been compromised?

 

Serious question, why are twc given to people who are hacked... It doesn't stop them getting hacked anymore often.
