Is Sythe actually a good money maker?

Ofc, I am going to post this in the trusty Spam Forum!!

I have ~Eight grand right now. There isn't really anything that I can buy. If you think of something good for me to buy irl, I'll give you a mil. But it will be hard, I have most things. And no, I don't smoke, so no weed. So, just for the heck of it, I want that cash to grow.

Here are my options-

Keep it in my "Spread Sheet". My Dad has a "spread sheet" in which I can deposit my money into until I am 30 (currently 15). This spread sheet gives me 10% interest a year.

Day trade in the Stock Market. I did this a little during Spring Break, I made 50$ in one day after about 10 minutes of work (two grand investment). However, I have not invested since then as I had school and so far during the summer there have been technical difficulties with my account, however those have now been sorted out.

And finally, becoming a re seller on Sythe. Would this option be better than either of the two stated above? How exactly does one start their business, by buying 10b gp at .50 cents a mil and then selling at .55 cents? To me, this seems like a very easy thing to do, am I missing something important? I told my dad about this and he said that if this option was so one sided, everyone in the world would be doing it. Yes, it's like a mine. The hardest part is not excavating the ore out, the hardest part is building the shaft that leads to the ore.

With 8 grand however, you could do some gold-reselling and make a nice profit if your persistent. I would also not recommend day trading, longer term investments are more fruitful than vigorous day to day trading.

 

You can get 10% interest a year? Dude, go for that. No risk of loss and that's a decent $800 free per year..

To your dad's comment: Everyone does do it. That's why we ended up with fucked up gold prices.


Gold could easily go for at least $1 per million right now and people are buying buying bulk at 50 cents and marking it up 10% instead of 100%. If you're going to do it, do it correctly.
