Site loading times

Sythe has greatly reduced the amount of "site maintenance" errors over the past month. I can remember back 2-3 months ago every topic had double posts on them due to this and the site was very frustrating to us an navagate on, What was the cause to all the problems? Didn't know where else to post this.

Yeah I remember before when it would occasionally have the maintenance problems. Sythe has done a well job at keeping the website in good hands.

 

Only had 1 problem since I've been here.

A big problem was the constant DDoSing the site was recieving. Richard addressed this and was able to fix it.

 

Good thing we got it fixed, it's been much more stable.

 

Yeah 100X better now. Me D/Ling Google Chrome didn't hurt though

Yeah it was getting a bit much, its been perfect lately.

Does it work with firefox ?

 

I dont understand why someone would think it was fun to DDos sythe..

 

Some people are bitter about getting banned, others are just mentally subnormal and get pleasure out of desecrating and destroying things.

 

I used to get those problems frequently, but I can't say I've gotten one of those more than twice this month. Maybe because you're in Australia and logging on at a different time as me, I don't know.

 

It only works with firefox 3.6 and lower I think.

 

Are the remaining occasional 503 and maintenance errors still caused by those DDoSs?

 

I remember trying to get some mod work done a few weeks back and it was so frustrating with the site going down and getting all sorts of errors. The stability I enjoy now is a pleasure. Thank you very much Sythe!

 

I have the latest version of firefox and it works just fine.

Mostly lagg free now. A few months back however I couldn't get on for days.

 

The site is working great now it's alot more reliable an stable then in the past, also great to hear donations go towards keeping the website maintained an updated, thanks Sythe and other admins.

 

I have noticed a significant improvement in loading times as well. Its even nicer that there are little errors now. Glad to see the majority of problems resolved. Thanks.

 

Yes it seems better now, whenever I tried to come to sythe 80 percent of the time it would be down or would take around 5 minutes to load a page.
