It is profitable to get hacked

I recently got hacked & banned, appealed the ban, logged onto my account which HAD 6k gold (had 22 gold when I logged in). Went into my mail, found 10k gold worth of successful auctions and an inventory full of elementium and pyrite. The guys leveled my toon from 83 to 85, maxed my profs, and got me a new flying mount.

Fuck, I need to get hacked more often...

i got my account back 2 days ago after being hacked for about a week.

i went from 200 ish mining to 525, and went from about 2k gold to 11k..

ive been hacked a few times and blizz gets everything back so theres no risk.
from my experience, yes it is

yeah, until you have a 371 ilvl priest with 102k gold as it is, officer to a end raid guild, if I got hacked, it would turn to shit.
Bliz might replace most, but never all from my experience of getting hacked.

This has happened to MULTIPLE of my friends, where a gold seller will hack them, use the account as a mule then they recover it with 10 to 20 times the amount of gold they originally had.

I remember reading something on MMO-Champion about some guy recovering his account after being hacked to like stacks upon stacks of 20 x Cardinal Rubies and rare mats like that.

 

My fiance got hacked and luckily I always held the money that we farmed. The hacker ended up farming well over 100k worth of gold + raw mats, and also got his dk from 82-85 by just mining. LOL

Haha I guess it's good if you dont have much to start with. But then if you have alot of gold already well it's gonna be gone pretty quickly.

I was hacked, didn't really care. Nothing was touched except for my 2k gold. months later I decided to go on my DK ( I never use it and hate DK's ) And Voila, there was my 2k
