    Wireless internet "hiccups"

The problem that is occurring is my internet "hiccups" every so often. By "hiccup" I mean that my internet is running fast and normal like it usually should, and randomly it will completely stop and than 10 - 15 seconds later it's back to normal.

This happen's at random times. Sometimes I can go a couple hours without it happening and than sometimes it happens 5 times within 5 minutes. I really can't notice it while surfing the web but when I play World of Warcraft, my latency spikes up dramatically and usually disconnect's me.

This is really frustrating because I have 2 other computer's on wireless that have never experienced this problem.

I just recently built this computer (3 days ago) and I gave my Alienware M17x to my little brother to use and in return he gave me his WUSB100 wireless adapter for me to use. This worked perfect for him, no spikes or anything on games or surfing the web.

I really don't know what is wrong here, I restarted my router and modem, I tried changing channels between 1,6, and 11, I uninstalled driver's and re-installed them. I also made sure they were up to date. My router is nearly brand spanking new. Bought it about 3 months ago.

I also have done a lot of googling, but ended up with nothing. I really am puzzled. Anyone know how to fix this? Should I buy a new adapter? When it is wired it runs fine. So this leads me to assume its my adapter.

Lol it's the adapter mate, I'd just keep wired. Why do you need wireless for a desktop anyway?

    Hell yea.^^

    Cat6e > wireless.

And lag and disconnecting is typical for wireless connections unless you're sitting right next to the router. And then, why not just use wireless for faster speeds? A gigabit ethernet card will set you back about 20-30 bucks, but it's well worth it. Idk why you'd build a pc without one so I hope you just neglected to use it..
