Rs forums filled with pricks? (not sythe)

I've been a lurker on the runescape forums since 04' with a 4k+ post count of my own, but lately i've noticed a trend. More than 90% of the posters with an avatar wearing a rare such as a phat or santa are total asswipes to everyone! I have yet to see more than 2 people in the same thread with such avatars who offer either constructive criticism or a relevant comment. Most either "Rate" the OP with a 3/10, or some bs, or just troll the hell out of everyone.

What the heck has happened?! The rs forums were never this bad before!

 

RS Forums = Troll Central

Especially the items discussion, which should now be renamed as the "Trolling section", along with the Spam forum there.

As far as I remember it's been this bad since I signed up back in 08. Maybe you just never noticed it

Rants forum is the worst in my opinion... 9/10 posts are from trolls...

Lol it was so handy and convenient when it was first released now it's hell to even get a basic price check.

 

I completely agree, every person acts like they are all-knowing and a mod. It really pisses me off, because majority of the time they are wrong. Not to mention they are dumb nine year olds

 

RS forums are ridiculous, every time I post on there some douche bag tries to cause trouble. It's usually some big guy thinking he's cool with all his 99s and phat in his avatar. I hate those forums.

 

Funny thing is I remember the forums were actually pretty useful back in 03-04.

 

what i find funny is that the runescape cheating fourms are like 9000x more mature and better then the actual runescape ones.

 

Nah ever since the 4chan community got fucked over with trolls so did RS which was like 2-3 years ago. I predict it to get worse than it already is.

 

Im thinking the only reason its so bad when compared to these cheating forums is that the RS mods and forum mods can't do jack shit in terms of cleanup. REAL forums and moderators can let the banhammer fly without risk of profit loss from rage-quitting members.

I miss 04-06 when I used the forums daily as a better grand exchange...

 

Any official "forum" with jagex won't look pretty.

 

I post quite a lot in the RS forums, mostly in items. (<3)

We know that the trolls are a problem, we hate them just as much as you do. We have made countless threads in the past in items trying to find a way to rid ourselves of the mass trolls that infected our once peaceful forum.

The non trolls in items are actually really nice people (although I do despise some of them...), just ignore the trolls and you'll be fine.

Maybe you didn't notice, but it has been this bad ever since the removal of old wildy. Rants forum is just a joke now.
