Introduction:

Hello guys! This is my second guide for my User Educator application. This guide will tell you how to survive a long road trip.

What The Contents of This Guide Will Be About:

The contents of this guide will show you how to make the best out of a road trip. It will also show you tactics on how to survive one.

The Guide:

Do you hate road trips? Well, than this is the guide for you! Have your parents ever told you that you were going to another location that's far away by driving? And you hated where you were going? Hated the car trip? Then continue reading!

First thing to do after you find out where you are going is to go on Google and search where you are going.



Along with searching the name of the place you are visiting on Google, try searching things that interests you. Examples: Museums, Memorials, Theme Parks, etc.

If there are things like museums and theme parks there, they should be listed on Google.

The next thing you need to do is to prepare for the trip. Pack everything you need! From oral hygiene utensils to clothes. Get things you need for different types of terrain. For example if your going to a place like Miami, Florida bring your sunscreen, swimming trunks, etc. If your going to a place like Alaska, bring items that will keep you warm!



Now, here comes car trip. When getting into the car to start the trip, remember to get all your legal documents, suitcases, etc.

Here's some ways to pass time while your in the car:

Sleeping.

Sleeping is a good way to pass time, just fall asleep in the back of the car. When you wake up, you'll be amazed to find out how much time has passed. If you wake up and there is still a long time, try to go back to sleep.



Watching Movies.

Watching movies is a pretty good way to pass time. A average movie is around one hour and 30 minutes. If you watch a couple, you're probably almost there. If you have a DVD player in your car, you could watch your movies in the car. Otherwise, you can just watch the movies in your laptop.



Listening to Music.

Listening to Music is also a good way to past time. While your parents are driving, you could just just lay back, chill, and relax while listening to music in your music playing device. Listening to music can potentially bypass a lot of time.



Playing games.

Playing games could be a fun way to let time pass. If you have a portable game console, you could play games all the way there. Even if you don't, there are games on phones as well. Remember, there are other ways to use a portable game console then playing. This could pass time as well. For example: Watching movies on the PSP.



Looking outside the window.

Looking out the window and seeing the scenery is a pretty good way to pass time. It's peaceful and might even be entertaining at times.



Remember not to bug your parents while their driving

Tips to reach your destination faster.

1. Follow the tips provided above.
2. Don't bug your parents.
3. Use the bathroom before you leave, so you don't need to stop for one.
4. Pack your own food and water, so you don't stop.

I dunno but 4 me, watching movies in a moving car makes me dizzy. What i usually do i charge my psp or any portable consoles and play. You won't even notice that you've reached your destination!

 

Oh, yeah. I guess some methods won't work for some users. That's why I put more than one way. Also, thank! I totally forgot about games. I will add that in. =]

For me, Music is definitely the one thing that makes the trip go by so much faster

 

I like this guide, maybe you should add a portion for people who have to take the greyhound, or other modes or transportation.

 

Well, I'm pretty sure they can apply this guide to greyhounds, planes, etc. I'm pretty sure it will be about the same thing.

This is a nice guide with some great potential. Perhaps add:

Pros and cons of each method (For example, a con of music is if your music player runs out of battery)

Methods other than sleep that do not require technology (some parents insist on no technology during long car rides), such as games (counting the colors of cars)
