Aroxez - Unwarranted Ban (HackForums)

Hey Runescapeâ„¢ here I'm writing this in behalf of "Aroxez" since he could not.

 

I don't see any reason at all why Aroxez would ever want to learn about hacking. He's got enough trust on Sythe that he could make off with a good coupled bucks, anyway. And I'm sure he's smart enough that, if he did want to investigate such stuff, he'd be smart enough to use a more cryptic pseudonym.

Who issued the ban? I'm curious to see the actual posts. Someone can go to HF right now and make a KerokeroCola account, but is it really me?

 

One big thing I noticed is that he linked me to the post on hackforums, which was found on his ban reason, and now that I look back, it was edited about 10-15 minutes before he showed me.

Sounds to me like someone who accidentally posted his msn then when he got banned tried to get rid of the evidence.

I mean, I genuinely believed him on msn when he told me it wasn't him, but now its starting to make me look the other way.

 

It's just all circumstantial evidence, though. Yes, it might be enough for someone who hasn't proved to be trustworthy and an asset to the community, but Aroxez isn't one of those people. Honestly, I'm inclined to think Aroxez's reputation should speak louder than circumstantial evidence does.

That's just me; maybe I'm naive.

 

We're not sure who issued Aroxez's ban, I honestly don't even see a report against him. So we're hoping you guys can get this all sort out.

 

I've been thinking, and after talking to Runescape™, I'm going to change my decision and call this a framing.

Arcadia was reported by Aroxez for hacking on another site, what a good way to get back at him.

I've never known Aroxez to be a bad person, and as I said, when he told me on msn that it wasnt him, I genuinely believed him.

I am in favor of his unban as I believe this to be Arcadia's doings.

 

But that's the problem; you cannot proof that it was Aroxez, Arcadia or who knows. HF doesn't give out IP's either, so it can't be proved.

 

Which is why I said I support his unban and it looks like a framing?

 

I banned him, because the emails matched. [email protected] was originally posted and the same one is used countless times in your market threads; it could be a framing, but see, the thread was not brought to a mod's attention by a user, a mod found it themselves (I think? It was Sengira.). If it were really a framing, some random-ass user would have tried to contact a mod with the link. That might have been the case, who knows, I'll have a chat with Sengira.

EDIT: If you search the email on Google, you still get the same HF thread, but edited. According to Sengira, a user brought the thread to his attention after doing a search for the email before a trade; but then as CSkiffingt1 said, it was edited 15 minutes before his chat with Aroxez. This is all really strange. Though, it could also be coincidental about the time of the edit. The framer could have realized at that point that Aroxez was banned and edited his thread to make a good dispute close to impossible.

RunescapeTM, if you could, ask Aroxez if he's got any proof supporting his claims. The typing style in the thread on HF isn't at all the same as Aroxez's grammatically correct style either, which leads me to believe that it COULD be a framing.

Blupig, my only beef with this ban is that it is Aroxez. Based on personal experience, I've always thought him above all of that... or, like I said, at least smart enough to spend 5 minutes making a new email account.

I looked through Arox's posts, and they don't seem the same at all. I'm inclined to believe it was fake. After all, it's Hack Forum; they literally are there just to get pleasure in just messing up people's lives.

 

I'm talking to someone right now. i got a hunch on who framed Aroxez. Apprently it's not Arcadia. will post screen shots soon.

...The MSN doesn't prove anything to me because it can just be a fake email that you two made. Not saying that it is, but blocking all the information out means it's not reliable at all.

Btw, I lolled hard at "Classics... rather high profile."

 

Haha, Sorry for the useless Screenshots, just doing everything i can to make sure justice is served for Aroxez, because this is just total bullshit :/

Well, I've just read the entire thread and I believe the evidence against Aroxez is way too convenient (in regards to both timing and location). The posts match Arcaida's style of typing (I would know; considering I went through five or six of her/his? mindless disputes). This seems like nothing more than an upset Arcaida attempting to mar Aroxez and his reputation here on Sythe.

Although we cannot prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was not Aroxez, I do feel we have reasonable doubt as to whether or not this was him. I would like to see Aroxez unbanned.

 

I'm going to unban him for now, but I'd like to ask all staff who've posted here and any others aware of the situation to keep a close eye on Aroxez. I have the feeling this is the first of many cases like this, it's too easy.
