Detailed description of the events that took place and why you disagree with the decision: I messaged a player in game to purchase the name Diablo. I suspected the name may have been stolen but the guy gave me reasonable doubt by stating that the name was sniped from him but he bought it back. I had seen the name change accounts 3 times I think over a short duration so seemed potentially plausible. Let’s be real, most names probably have been taken after a name change at some point now.

I read through the Sythe rules and rules on D2JSP (both websites I use), multiple times before the transaction to be sure, and did not believe I was breaking any listed rule even if the name was sniped. I messaged the guy in game, not through a website and the rules did not state anything about purchasing sniped names just selling them. I would advise for "buying" to be added in those statements for clarity if it is going to be enforced in this manner to avoid similar confusion.

Anything else you wish to say: There is not a clear or concise way to search for information on sniped or stolen names. There is no list on Sythe.org with linked cases of stolen names such as there is with hacked/recovered Runescape accounts. It is just by word of mouth from player to player. There is no established process to check if a name is sniped, yes I know of a list, but those can be skewed for personal gain and list no evidence. Also, coincidentally I got banned from the group with the 1 list I know of for reacting a poop emoji to a name (the name was terrible and they wanted like $500 for it).

I am not a danger to the community. Diablo was one name I really wanted for years. I played Diablo 2 as a kid and saw it come online in game. I am no longer am looking to purchase a name for my main OSRS account, dropping ~$2K on a name is stupid in hindsight.

In conclusion, I don't really need money, I'm a 30+ year old man. I enjoy occasionally trolling the spam form, selling a few accounts I no longer use so they don't sit abandoned forever and occasionally buying services. I've got ~60 vouches and 4 since this happened.
