!RUNESCAPE! Addicted or not?

I actually posted this long ago on powerbot and a few other sites and still have it saved to my desktop. Before I delete it I thought I would put it on here to see what everyone elses opinion is. You can say what you want here. Flame me, curse me, agree with me, support me, whatever. Here it is....

BEFORE I START! Psychology is the study of how the HUMAN brain functions. So Psychological means its all in your head.


Ok, heres a question, more of a psychological question, about runescape. I've been playing this game on and off for about 6 years. I really don't have but one friend that plays runescape, so hes the only one I talk to about the game.

*PAUSE*
Question: When you play Runescape, focusing mainly on the game for hours and hours, do you feel brain dead afterwards and like you have Runescape now stuck on your mind?


Now it seems after playing this game for so long without having any different topic or interest in my head. Thats the interest that sticks with me the rest of the day. If I loose money on the game its shitty, almost like loosing real money. (I've lost my money a while back, it was shitty but I've gotten over that in time.)


*PAUSE*
Question: Does loosing something in this game seem like loosing something in real life to you?



When playing this game for long hours and burning your mind out on Runescape, if I hang out with someone who doesn't play Runescape I still have this Runescape shit on my mind. I can listen to what people are saying, but none of it seems more important than Runescape. It almost scares me to play the game again, cause I don't want to get so absorbed with it that it becomes more important than other things, like friends, family, life.


*PAUSE*
Question: When you can't talk to anyone else about Runescape, do you tend to play Runescape?

As far as other people, I don't want to be accusing or anything. So, I'm not. But on the other hand I do see that people get pissed on the game and I can tell that some feel shitty after loosing something on the game. For the most part these are people that didn't bot their money, they actually put the effort in. Still, even if you botted, its shitty for some people.

When people play Runescape and start learning they realize theirs more to learn, just like real life. Runescape constantly growing means theres always more to learn. So if you try to learn the entire game, you'll never get there because something else will be changed or added. When most of what you know is Runescape that tends to be an interesting topic to you.

BUT WAIT!
Question: Can you honestly talk to most people in the REAL world about Runescape?

OF COURSE NOT! Most people on this planet are interested with things that are real. Not things Jagex comes up with. This right here means you have to find people that are interested in the game. And what better way to find people who are interested in Runescape then to ((((PLAY RUNESCAPE!!!! ))) And there you have it..Psychological addiction.

Jagex basically gets people to pay them money for something that doesn't exist. All Runescape is...is a bunch of scripts.

Some do disagree with me. It all depends on the mind set they go about it. IDC if you just copy and paste what I put, I simply want to see how far this can go and I want people to understand what I can JAGEX doing. And it goes for other games. Feel free to repost my idea on other topics. Build on this idea. See what comes out of it. Its a real life skill, so the outcome can only be good even if the only outcome is knowledge.

Nope, don't really play anymore. I would say I was addicted before though and i spent alot of time on it. But now I just use it to make money IRL.

Really light on the playing for me. I had a 138 but then original owner recovered and posted in account clean. I made an obby mauler like 4 days ago and I play on him a good hour a day.

 

Addicted to bots

 

haven't played in like 3 weeks.
haven't botted in like 2 months.

Regretting every min i've wasted on it tbh, luckily it made me some IRL cash or i'd be pretty sad atm.

 

Im 100% addicted! Like all the things you mentioned happens to me I never spent more than 20$ on runescape though

Runescape, lol definitely not. I wouldn't play this game at all if I couldn't bot my levels. Only fun thing in this game is staking/pking

Runescape is fun in many ways, But when you've created about 40 + Accounts, trained them up and then forgot about them, and do it all again....

Runescape is a fun game... I'll give my full expectations to Jagex, Saying Runescape is ran on a Java Base Source, Just incredible what it's turned out to be and how far they've got in the gaming industry...

Been playing RS since I was about 11, I'm 17 now and I'll keep at it for a long time (If all goes well).

 

I've been on and off since I was 8. 13 now, 14 on the 12th of april.
