Rapier or Longsword for staking?

Going to be 80 Attack/Strength/Dung

Staking 1 def pures with spec on/off

 

I'd say Rapier since you'd hit faster. Longsword is more for maxed players.
When you're a pure Speed > ALL

 

Rapier, best DPS weapon.
Hits fast and accurate, especially against 1 defense you'll be tearing them apart.
Longsword is mainly used and is good against armor

They will probably be using SOL spec, will it still hit hard?

 

Well if your doing spec off then they won't be doing SOL spec.

But yes, I have a lvl 70 SOLer, 1 pray/def/summoning and rapier pures beat me.

The DDS doesn't hit very hard, but you use your rapier for about 60% of your hits and it hits very very hard against an SOL spec.

 

Rapier is better, although I hear that using Rapier and than Longsword for the final hit is beast as well

Both. Use rapier for the first part of the fight and longsword to deal the killing blow. Make sure their health is low enough to KO them before you pull out the longsword, cus you get 1 hit with it at rapier speed, and then it slows down to longsword speed for each consecutive hit (which means less dps).

 

I'd go for Rapier just because it would be faster dps, but if you could deal with getting a longsword aswell, you could easily switch near the end of the fight to hit harder

rapier in my opinion would be fast and efficent. i've seen this on many staking video's on youtube!
