What do you mean it works the other way? There is NO WAY to prove the non-existence of something. It is impossible, so the burden of proof lies with the believer.

Where did matter itself come from? Before the Big Bang, I'm not sure if many of you can make your mind think about this but... try and think where did the first atom come from? How did all this start? How old is it if it isn't infinite?

It truly confuses the human mind to try and imagine there being no universe, when I try I usually just picture an endless white room in my head and can't put together any theories about how it all was started and how time itself exists before there was a universe.

Think about that.

 

Generally, people believe in God because of their fear of the afterlife. I am a Catholic, i wouldn't say i am a devoted member of my church but i do believe in God because whoever "it" is, He has provided me with many gifts and privileges that i do greatly appreciate. for those who argue that God is unfair. Life is unfair. For example, there are children born into poverty, and i agree with you, if God was great, he wouldn't do this to anyone. however, what's to appreciate if life was an utopia?

 

Regarding previous posts, the universe may have been created from the Big Bang, humans could've been evolved from ape's, but that may have been God's way of changing things, through science or whatever you call it. If any of you have read angels and demands or da vinci code, you can get another perspective on the whole ongoing science vs religion hype.

how about all the hobbies and vacationing and relaxing that some people get to do because they do not have to work to earn a meager wage.

certainly you can agree that there is more joy in participating in self-actualizing activities, such as art and community projects, than there is in working 2 jobs for minimum wage, while earning no benefits from either job, and supporting three children.

Yes well God was created by another God, and so on until there are so many Gods that we are breathing in God like we breath in Oxygen.

 

You can never prove anything, so I can not give you proof. All I can say is give proof to your claims. The fact is, you have none. There are facts that support the big bang. Time and time again science has been able to explain things that people first attributed to the super natural. This trend makes it more likely that a natural process created our universe which makes God not necessary meaning there is no further proof of him.

 

Take a massive trip (if you know what I mean), and you will see and experience. Then come back on this thread and share.

Who a person is does not make any argument they make any more or less valid. I am an atheist and unless something big happens, this is not going to change.
