Killing green drag bots

Well I don't know about anyone else but every so often I get bored in RS and try to find something to do. With the wilderness update killing green dragon bots has been one of those things to pass some time. I'm sure you all know the bots that use the rift in lvl 5 wildy.

Before we get started.

I did not steal this guide. I got the facts from someone who I can't remember so credit to them for the idea. I'm editing the guide and posting pics with it. This is my first guide rate and constructive criticism are encouraged.

REQ:
-Decent mage (not needed but helps)
-A KO weapon, claws, dds, gs (Whatever you seem fit)
-Food,pots,etc to suit the inventory you want.
-Some summoning lvls. (13 will work for thorny snail)

Killing the bots give you nothing beside some junk food and anti dragon shield and ring of life. Maybe addy gear at best. This guide shows you how to get them skulled for their whips, d skirts and granite tops.

My inventory/gear.




Feel Free to change this however you see fit.

What to do:
Gather up your items runes etc. I use ancients to freeze and the fact that I can't tb. If you're 85 mage use normal mage. Go to the G.E, for easiest access to where we are going if you can use the shortcut to Edge. (Level 21 agility) If you can't walk to hear by means of Glory from edge, or going around the G.E.



Note the paths to get there. The red circle is where the action will take place. So get there and hop the wildy ditch. Summon your familiar and run to the rift. (Red circle)

The next part is going to take patience. What you need to do is put your familiar between the rift and the log like so. I got a bad picture but the familiar goes where the thug that I'm attacking is.




After this is done you sit and wait for the bots. What happens is the familiar will be onto of the entrance to the rift. Every once in awhile the bot will click attack familiar instead of entering rift. Thus skulling them. Once they skull mage them and go in for the KO but watch out a lot of them have Ring of life on so they will tele if you don't KO them fast enough.

BEWARE. A lot of the people standing at the rift are friendly just hunting bots like yourself but some don't care and will attack you.

sounds pretty good, will probably take some getting used to though.

how much have you made doing this so far?

 

I just recently dicovered it, and only did two nights on it so far but I've gotten about 10-15 whips kills.

What familiar do you recommend? Can you retake the position for familiar picture?

I was thinking about writing a guide for this, thing is quite a few pkers there, and the chance of the bot misclicking is unlikely

 

As I said I use to kill time, if I'm really bored. I was using thorny snail.

Very good guide. Ive seen 2 or 3 vids on this on youtube. So I dont think he could of sold it anyway...

dang gf whip sweet!!! i just dont understand how they lose them

 

because when the bot miss clicks and hits your familiar the bot becomes skulled. Then you pretty much just wreck it. Tb+tangle + spec weapon = all of their items as i highly doubt they have protect item prayer on. I have seen people get dfs's from doing this.

 

Tryed this it really works good method.

 

Tried it, in about 2 hours I got 12 whips. ftw?
