Bully gets a taste of karma.

Basically, a bully was punching this kid and the kid turns the tables on him. I think that's awesome, since I think people who pick on others for no reason are scum.

What I do think is bullshit though, is the fact that they both got suspended for the same amount of time. The kid was just defending himself. At the most, he should get a 1 day suspension, and even then I think that's pushing it.

What do you think? Do you think he acted the right way or not? Quite frankly, the whole "don't pay attention to bullies, and tell a teacher about it" is bullshit. If you don't do something, it's going to keep happening. When I was in 3rd grade, I went to a school that was 99.99% all black. Literally, no lie, it was me and 3 other white kids. So, since we were the "outsiders", the black kids liked to mess with us. One day, this kid started insulting me and getting in my face. I ended up putting him in a choke hold and throwing him into the bushes. Not only did I not get messed with again, but from that day on, that kid respected me. That's not something you can earn by crying to a teacher.

I guess I can't comment too much on bullying, since I played football (and pretty much every other sport) from 7th grade till I graduated high school, so I guess I was the "jock", not the "nerd".

So what's your opinions.

 

Saw this yesterday. He shouldn't have been suspended for defending himself. They have proof on camera that he obviously was minding his own business, and then defended himself.

 

Thats the key. You have to show that u can stand for yourself and do not tolerate bullying. I personally think if u get bullyd at school you are a wimp. I use the "Treat me like shit, i treat u like shit". So if you come picking on me and spread rumours or what ever i m going to return you a favor. If he really goes over line them a little fight will only do good and show everyone that ur not someone to be messed around with. Teachers might not understand that you have to apply yourself or you get stumped in the mud. I thinik that kid was right to do so. Next time when that bully comes he probably think twice before doing anything to him again.
