I wanted to make an iPad discussion thread.

I use my iPad for sythe and I was wondering how many others are doing so as well?

What applications do you think are the best?

 

I have been considering getting an iPad for a while now. If all goes to plan I should be raking in the money soon, so maybe I will get one now. Would you genuinely recommend it, even to someone who is not so financially well-off?

 

Depends on what you need it for.

You can sign up with barclay or something on the apple website when you're making the purchase, it allows you to pay it off monthly. You get one year without intrest and you end up paying like 50$ a month, maybe even less.

 

iPad 2 looks promising, I may just invest in one

 

I was reading an article and it said that the third one is the one to look forward to.

 

iPad is trash.

The verizon zoom tablet is better then the iPad, the only reason people are making the iPad 2 out to be a big deal is because of the double sided camera. Other then that its trash.

Is ipad 2 just smaller and faster?

 

Ew ipads are just luxury items not even worth getting IMO unless theres something specific on the Ipad you are getting it for. Such as the reading books one, apparently the books are alot cheaper then hardcovers like $5 a book or something not that i really read at all anyways.

 

Nah, get one and then criticize, or at least use one for a bit. I do pretty much everything on my iPad.

 

Ill admit the ipad looks nice as hell, but really whats the point of them? They seem to be just over sized ipod touches. I'm not trying to flame here or troll or anything. I actually considered buying one a while back, but don't see the point... Would any one who has one recommend it? Why should I buy it rather than just getting a laptop?

 

Touches are the ones that are a waste IMO.
People who have touches should just get a regular Ipod or Iphone.
I don't have an Ipad but it beats using the internet on my Iphone (Currently typing this out with it).
Ipads are decent as I've used several and the bigger screen is such a bonus comparing it to the Iphone or touch.

 

Call me a nerd but I read the uh I go on sythe on my iPad thing so I thought I should say that I went on this site on my blackberry to just check out my thread and I got my cell phone internet IP banned because I guess it was logged onto the account I use from my computer.

Yesss high five. Me too I use my iPad for sythe and I'm using my iPhone4 while I'm on the go. It's quite pratical and I'm definitively going to biy the iPad 2.

 

I have a gaming laptop, net book, and a regular viao. I use my iPad whenever though. When I'm eating cereal, taking a dump, and sometimes when I'm in the waiting room of a hospital. This Tuesday, I'm having surgery, so while I'm in bed or just waiting, I'll be using this.

You don't understand how awesome they are until you use one for a bit.

 

I just got mine like 3 days ago so I can still return it and get the new one, but I'm too lazy and impatient.

 

You can get a £100 refund if you bought it within the last 2 weeks, I read.

Obviously you don't own an iPad because you can't do;

Since the iPad can't multitask and isn't equipped with Flash support, not to mention iPad 1 isn't equipped with a camera there eliminates basically are video chatting applications.

 

I use my iPad more than my laptop. It's a lot easier to carry around, bring to class and read off of. Only use my laptop for gaming and certain school work.
