    Which Computer is Better?

    >>>>>>>>>EDIT: I PURCHASED OPTION 2. Thanks for the input.

So, Which computer would be better for botting?
(i.e. in this case, is RAM more important or Processor?)

    Thanks.

    OPTION 1:
    AMD Phenom II Six-Core Processor 1055 2.8 GHz - 16 GB RAM - $800

    OPTION 2:
    Core i7-870 2.93 GHz - 12 GB RAM - $800

    Thanks!

    Which Computer is Better?

Well the AMD is a 6 core and the i7 is only 4 core, and either 12GB or 16GB of RAM is more than anyone would need.

Overall i would pick the one with the core i7 because i like Intel more than AMD.

    Which Computer is Better?

    go with the i7

12 gb of ram is 2 times what you will truly need and as said above i like intel more too

unless you plan on running like 10 bots 12gb of ram will do :)

    Which Computer is Better?

Which computer is better? Option one.

The processor has better GHZ and has more ram.

Obviously you would pick 16gb ram over 12gb ram, either way you won't be using up this much ram so it doesn't really matter... but we know what we would all pick ( 16 GB ).

AMD VS INTEL; usually Intel wins, however its your preference, do some research on either processors, both are very good and will be able to handle anything!

BTW: Is this a custom build? if not link me to where you're buying it please.

Go with the i7, it has hyperthreading which AMD processors do not.

I say, build your own pc.

    Which Computer is Better?

It is hard to tell as you have not listed any other specs such as graphics card.

You may be paying for a decent processor and RAM, but without a decent graphics card, it's going to go to waste (assuming you want to game).

If you want to run 8-14 bots, get an i7 and 12GB of RAM and you'll be set. :D

    Or, purchase 4-5 VPS(s)

Jesus Christ it's like some of you people listen specifically to the manufacturers that are trying to sell you these overpriced pieces of crap.

If you are botting 1-3 accounts at once, all you need is a good dual core and 4GB of RAM. If you want to bot more than 5, you might want a quad and 6GB of RAM. Past that, I'm not sure, but you should be able to adjust.

You're running fucking java applets, not folding@home.

The i7 is a stronger processor, more ram then you'll ever need.

Tgump basically sums it up though.

    Which Computer is Better?

AMD, no question. Their new line of 6-core processors have shown to give better performance than the regular i7s and even some of the top models. 6 cores > 4 cores, 16GB > 12GB, no-brainer.

    Which Computer is Better?

i looked it up, and the listed i7 processor is about 20% better than the 6-core AMD processor.

thats why im wondering. is 20% more processor worth 4 gigs less ram?

    thanks

Option 2. You can pick up a 2gb stick of ddr3 or ddr2 ram for around $30.

I would pick option 1 if I didn't care about changing the proc eventually. But I pick option 2 because it has an lg1156 socket and I could always buy the 880 that I want to upgrade the pc I'm using now.
