MISUNDERSTANDING ON THEIR PART, NO REPORTS :D

    On accident. Idk.
    Lol

I bought a TV stand for 40$ on the 10th of feb.
Delivery was supposed to be here on the 18th. (Said 16th-18th, and to call if it doesn't show on the 18th)
I emailed on the 19th about it never showing(it didn't)

They said it got lost in transit, and they will send a new one with 1 day shipping.

    On the 20th, I get a package.
Turns out it's a TV stand.

    Today, the 23rd.
    I get another package?
    Another TV stand.

Looks like the first TV stand was either 2 days late, or 5 days late.

    I got 2 TV stands, luckily I have 2 TV's.
But... I already got a TV stand for one of them, bought the second stand for the new TV I bought (thanks to my GP buyers :p)

But yea.. Did I scam walmart lol...?

    It was all legit :/

It can't be called 'scam' as you didn't intentionally do it. It was something that was not in your control.

Not really. They have so much money. they just told you that cuz they didn't care if they had to buy you another one or not. plus the products cost less than half of what you pay for them

You gotta realize that whoever made that TV stand only spent about 2 dollars on it's production, and walmart only spent like 5 dollars buying it in bulk. Whether it's a scam or not, they're not losing much.

Same sorta thing happened last year with my mom. She ordered a tripod and didn't get it, so she called the store and they sent another one.

except when they sent the second one they sent 3 >_>. We ended up with 4 tripods after ordering 1 lol.

Theft is theft nimrod. Regardless of how much money they have. Just because they're business savvy doesn't make it correct to steal from them. Everything you buy period is sold to you at a profit.

Return a stand, its the right thing to do.

Are you really going to listen to a kid with the username Justin Bieber??

Anyway, it's not theft. It's their policy to send another item if the last one doesn't reach the customer. It's called customer service. Plus, do you know what Walmart does with items that you return? They throw them away. No matter why they were returned, they just scrap it.

To return this stand will mean that much more waste to fill the landfills.

Justin Bieber is a lyrical genius.

Regardless of what they do with the returned item (it would be recycled if open, warehoused if not), it is morally right to return the item. He got what he paid for.

My mom has worked at walmart for almost 13 years, they don't recycle or warehouse shit. They throw every bit of it away

Off topic: well, initially, I was just kidding about the Justin Bieber comment, but sir... "baby baby baby oh" is not genius, nor is singing about love when you're 16

Same thing happened to me. I ordered a jacket off the internet but it got delivered to the house next door instead. The people who live there went on holiday before they gave me my package which I didn't realise. I rang the company and said it hadn't turned up, and they said they had no more in stock so they refunded my money. A few days later my neighbors came home and gave me the jacket. So was like 'Wooo, free stuff!' :D
I don't think of it as scamming, I see it as a signal to the company that they need better delivery people (ones who can count).
