RS Wikia Now With Malware and Keyloggers

JaGex wanted Zybez to advertise the same ads as they do. W13 (the owner) refused and ever since then, their website's name was filtered. I still use them for quest guides, though.

 

What's the point what adds do you see, they lost much of traffic.

 

I dont think they have keylogger or something -.- its just some stupid advertisement :s

 

Ok, after getting my computer back from the repair centre ($300 repair fees). I found some cleanup files they had, searched them and found something related to what I though my problem was. Did some more research on it, found that my computer breaking was related to this virus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vundo).
Which apparently is related to the rouge-antivirus pop-up.

Hope this can warn/fix some peoples problems.

Mind you I don't remember seeing this pop-up. Someone else must of done it. :L

I have never had an issue with that site.

 

We are talking about a recent issue. Like someone is going around injecting malicous code into page or an ad that is download java scripts onto your computer.

Yeah, unfortunately there's been an increase of threats to our RS security (as cheesy at it sounds).

I have my GP stored on various accounts. I also run biweekly virus\malware scans & have random bank pins.

 

Was on it the other day wasn't having any problems =O
