Hi Techie.

I hope that you see my authenticity in posting this. I come respectfully with a well-intentioned heart, and am trying to provide feedback in a constructive fashion.


I really gained tremendous respect for you during the video debacle. It took guts, courage, and a strong moral conscious to speak up and do what you did. You already knew I felt that way, though, as I told you.


With that said, I question that your moral compass might not be quite as aligned when forced to make decisions that don't mesh with your wishes?

I'm really disappointed in the way you've chosen to handle everything related to the Andy case, even down to closing feedback threads so as to stifle further community input and discussion.

You closed the thread without addressing ANY of the very valid questions that were brought forth.

Andy is one of your best friends here; I don't think you'd refute that. How can any user of this website have faith that you acted in their best interest when you negotiated upon one of your best friend's behalf, behind closed doors, to Richard? Furthermore, the way you handled the backlash lends to a further lack of faith.

I'm confident you had no ill intent, but there's a very obvious disconnect between your decision(s), bias, and transparency. If you truly care about our community, I'd encourage you to think about how you handled Andy's scam report. Closing threads without addressing serious and fair concerns doesn't bode well for any of us, and neither does the precedent you chose to set by using mod tools to bury the report.

Transparency, communication, good faith, and trust. These are necessary foundational qualities of an admin, Techie. You have those qualities. You are a good person and a good admin. Please don't let your emotions obscure your integrity.
