Coach on leave after insulting Obama

Anyone else think this is a little extreme?

 

Heck with that school. If they cared about their kids, they wouldnt cut a guy who obviously knows what he's doing in his department, for voicing his opinion on fox news. In all honesty, hes speaking for many americans, including myself.

 

I think the only thing that needs to be said here is "fuck all those people trying to take away his freedom of speech."

Pretty sad to see them cut for stating their opinion.

 

He has a right to say what ever he wants and the school taking action against him for that is wrong. However, the guy did threaten the president, got a visit from the S.S., was wearing school clothing at the time, and parents were complaining. He is on PAID leave. Firing him over it would be complete bullshit, but I doubt they will do that.

 

You don't threaten the President of the United States unless you want a paid free vacation at ClubFed and a special team watching every move you make.

 

He got a visit from the S.S.?? That's overreacting even more than the school making him leave. The parent's shouldn't be able to talk because they're arguing with an opinion, which is pointless. I'm glad he's getting paid still.

 

I don't really think its an overreaction on the S.S.'s part because that is their job, I just think its an overreaction on the schools part for putting him on leave for voicing his opinion.

Just because some college student wanted to fight the president? If you saw the video, you'd know he was speaking hypothetically. Nobody is going to have a chance to box Obama, so why even take him seriously? In my eyes, everyone overreacted except the coach.

These days, the foundation laws in the constitution hold no water. Freedom of speech is an over-exaggerated and misinterpreted "Right" that is pretty much saying "You have the right to voice your opinion - But only if it is positive feedback". Rebel against anything and you'll either end up on trial, or hated nation-wide.

I'm glad the coach hasn't given in and apologized.

 

Kinda came out of nowhere and not the kind of attitude I'd want to have kids at school being exposed to...I think the school was within its every right.
