What should your postcount be?

This is the way i look at it as-well, I really want to be Forum addict/guru/ grand master. I don't know why but i like those ranks, lol. I don't consider my self spamming posts because i don't post anything useless, I may post a lot in 1 category but it does not mean I'm spamming, right?

 

I typically only post in off-topic, but I find my post count gets up quickly without even realizing. I like getting into discussion and such... you can generally tell who the spammers are.

 

I don't post that much in my opinion....

 

I only really post on topics that interest me.

Although a lot of people don't post to earn trust, some actually do...that's why I'm glad they added something against saying things like "nice acc". I know a couple people from a while back who had like 100+ posts of nothing but things like 'oh nice acc'.

You can tell who are the ones who post only to get trust and those who all just love to post.

 

i also think its suspicious a little when someone who just joined sythe has loads of posts...i tend to think its scammer/sppammer...but thats just me. obviously i dont post much..60 posts in like 4 years lol

I post because it's fun, and I get a lot more out of this forum then. I think it's nice to learn some people here, instead of just selling stuff to them

 

I post whenever I see a thread that I want to post in. Post count isn't a form of trust so i don't see the problem.

 

Getting an extremely high post count in so little time just means you enjoy the site, or find pride in having a large count. A lot of people post whenever they see the opportunity, but I, for one, only post when I feel I need to.

 

I have been member of sythe since 2008 (been lurking for some time before that) and i only have 404 posts because i a lot of the time i have no reason to post, if i think someone posts something cool i don't spam there thread with "OMG DUDE WTF thats soooo cool!" some people would say that's being nice... i call it spam, i only comment if i have something worth while to say so high post count counts for nothing imo.

naw, I'm just bored and looking trough topics is just more fun then being on rs..
sometimes I gain 50 post count on a day, sometimes I only gain 1-2 post count.

but for example if you have someone with join date yesterday and 100+ post count, I would trade with caution indeed.

edit: I try to make all of my posts usefull as well

 

I do see where OP is coming from, though. Some scammers would get a higher post count to seem like they're more knowledgeable or something along the lines.

I think my post count is alright considering I've been here since 2007 I think?

 

most of my post are from doing buisness on sythe knowing that i average a VOUCH every 9 or so posts is good buisness

 

If people really care about getting their post count up they don't deserve a TWC. Personally I think I could post a lot more then I currently do but I normally just post if it's needed now.

I agree with you on this. I enjoy reading other peoples topics rather then commenting on them. I've been on this site for almost 4 years and I have less posts then people who have been on here for 4 months haha.

I can agree with you to a certain extent about people getting their posts up for the rank such as forum addict guru grandmaster etc. They see it as a way to make people believe that they're experienced on this site and think they can control a trade, and unfortunately it's happened to me.

 

I almost got scammed by guy who got his 300 posts in 3 days. Looking for join date now when having a big trade.

 

Postcount doesn't mean shit, if anything join date + regular posting can mean a tiny bit. But still....doesn't mean they are trust worthy....

You have to remember you are visiting a virtual home for some people, and these people are easy to manipulate and deceive.

 

Mine was over 10,000 before I deleted all of my posts and resigned from moderating.
