Increasing Download Speed.

I am currently downloading the game via the site for the EU client. I am in the US. Would downloading the EU client be any slower than the US client?

Secondly, I have the discs up to BC. Would it be faster to install from the discs as opposed to the client?
Right now I am downloading at 91 KB/s. How bad is this?

 

Well i would install the games via disk first. But then the patching starts and that will kill you.

 

Eh whenever I need it installed I just run it overnight and it's all done by morning, patches too. Night time tends to be better since there are less users on the ISP's network; slowdowns occur especially on the bigger ISPs and their resellers.

 

If you live in the US using a server closer to home should increase your download speeds, and depending upon what time it is where you live might add in also. Most internet Peak Hours are during the day so if you download the client later during the night it should also be faster.

 

I have both Vanilla and BC done by keys. 64% of the new client installer done with the first part. I would assume it will take much longer at the second section.
