Is anyone against cataclysm?

Am i the only one or?

My reason for disliking it because i played wow for about a month, but since i had almost no play time i couldn't play runescape and wow so i had to pick one and i choose runescape. And now that cataclysm is coming out i feel that i won't be able to play wow in its "original" form.


Thoughts, comments, ect about the release.

 

Well if you played WoW for a month I doubt you even reached level 80 to even experience everything that you can do.

 

Yeh, i barely knew anything and i knew that i was missing out on a lot. Knew "a lot" about wow before i started.

 

there are a lot of people that are upset with a couple of the things implemented with wow, but it we certainly bring a lot better things than that wotlk brought. yes all the classic players (including myself) will notice that it is a completely different game than it used to be. but upon the realease of the next expansion (rumored to be the Emerald Dream) you will see many aspects of classic coming back.

On the topic of Cataclysm, they are bringing back a lot of classic bosses such as Onyxia (again) and Nefarian from Blackwing Lair

 

Tbh I really don't see anything wrong with Cataclysm at all. I am really psyched to be able to fly anywhere in the game. But then again I haven't really read up on every single detail coming out with Cataclysm.

 

Quite honestly, I'm upset with anything past vanilla. Vanilla was good, fun content. I wish they had just kept building onto it with raids, instead of having to add in levels and abilities like they had. Though of course some new abilities would have to be expected.

I'm a 'nilla guy though, the good old 40 man raids had the most fun content, and had the best looking gear.

 

Trust me, your not missing out on anything. In the vanilla stages of the game the player to game experience was lacking thereof substance. In Cataclysm you actually feel like something is going on - in vanilla it was accept quest, kill monster, get reward. In Cataclysm they've spiced it up a bit

 

Even without cata youa re missing a lot ( vanilla and tbc), beautiful content that nobody plays anymore

 

im not really into expansions in general.. Mention molten core or something to someone that just ran though the game and they would be confused.. Most of the time when an expansion hits people ignore a lot of nice game content.. Oh well it gives me something to do..

 

Its good to see that i'm not the only one.


The reason i don't like this expansion in particular, is because its changing everything and the old expansions just expanded and added new content.

 

I think its abit bit revamping the whole game in one expantion pack, but it can be a good idea to be fair. Anyway as somones already said they are brining Classic Features in the next expantion so . but its a new challenge getting used to the new layout

 

Wait, you can fly anywhere?

 

Blizzard has done a half-assed job with each release, besides the original (since there was nothing to half-ass on something that didn't exist yet). BC was fine, but they basically just created a branch off of the original that used new monsters, graphics, systems, etc. When you make an upgrade like that, you need to upgrade the whole game. We should have seen all the quest changes and graphics improvements in BC, not now. As for WotLK, we saw the introduction of phasing and yet again more updates. What had been left untouched? Outland and the old world. So, with the release of WotLK, you had end-game shit that was real fun and up-to-date, but then you had BC which was meh and the old world which was then a piece of shit compared to everything else.

Now with Cata, they redid the old world with new systems and such, but what's been left in the dust? Outland and Northrend. Hell, Outland has become such a hassle and a bore that people have started doing nothing but instances and PvP from 60-70 to avoid the terrible place.

I think that an expansion shouldn't only introduce old content, but should always refresh the old stuff too. Diablo II is an excellent example of a game that was changed with the release of its expansion.

 

So with the release of this expansion, were actually reviving parts of the game that died off with other expansions? o.0

Never saw it like that. It looks like a lot of completely new content is also being released though, like the graphics and how everything is going to look different and new classes ect.

 

No new clases, and everything looks diferent for a reason.

Just played for a long time yesterday. I really like it actually. I really don't have a problem with any of it. I like the new underwater questing and everything. I find the new quest's a lot more interesting to do and a lot more fun.

 

Was messing around on a Goblin and I never had so much fun questing ^^

 

i think its great but getting from level 80-85 is far to easy
butthen th heroics makeup for that

 

I'm not into raiding and Heroics like i was before. I enjoyed heroics and raiding because it was easy.

Now heroics just stress me out and get me in a pissy mood because nobody knows what their doing and they bitch at me (the tank) for doing my job correctly but they dont know how to play.
