Does The Next SK vs. NK War Necessarily Mean WWIII?

I know, I know... The Korean war, which started over 50 years ago never actually ended, that we just had a cease-fire, which NK violated this week and on March with the Cheonan-ham incident.

So let's say that we DO get to a stage where NK goes beserk, and the cease-fire is officially broken, which means that we have another Korean War.

But does that necessarily mean that it will start WWIII?

I mean, if it DOES happen, the United States will definately help on South Korea's side. (Hopefully, Japan will, too, and we will be brothers after centuries of hate...)

However, wont Russia and China fight alongside North Korea?
Also, since NK and Russia have nuclear weapons.

Doesn't it mean that it'll lead to a nuclear war?

Will we be fighting WWIV with stones and arrows?

Is the Call Of Duty: Korea that I have anticipated for so long never going to happen?

North Korea are broke. Completely, utterly impoverished. Russia and China won't stand up for North Korea for fear of breaking trade agreements with United States and other large countries.

I think NK will be taken over, and renamed under a new country. :)

If a Nuclear war were to erupt, I don't think there would be anyone left for WWIV, let alone fighting with sticks and stones.

Maybe that's what the black ops game mode sticks and stones was designed around? ;)

There is no wayyy China would side with North Korea. They've been establishing links lately with alot of western countries.

It wouldn't even turn into a World War because nobody would side with North Korea. Their totalitarian government is frowned upon by almost every country in the world besides some of the sub-Asian countries, so if they decide to start shit they'll be blasted in a day by the armies of the US and anyone who feels like throwing a punch at a potato (Kim Jong Il).

They have one of the largest, and one of the best militarys in the world, because all the money they do have goes to the military.

Maybe sixty years ago - now the country is starving to death and the people are about a foot shorter than those in the South.

It won't end up in a war, anyway. The north knows the south won't attack them, Kim Jong-il is using the attacks to ease the transition to his son.

Things have changed since the outbreak of the Korean war.

Stalin and Mao are both dead, and the USSR has collapsed. China is still communist, but its policies have changed greatly since Mao.

Hence, I really don't think either of the two would back North Korea again. Just because they did it in the past doesn't mean they still have to do it.

North Korea is on its own.

The general population is starving, but not the men who serve in the military. They're a very poor country, but the money they DO have all goes towards the military. Anyone who wishes to not starve to death signs up for the military.

    According to Baba Vanga, yes.
China dosen't even like North Korea anymore, something might happen if the US infiltrate their territory.

World Wars are inevitable with our human nature.
We're crawling closer & closer to something horrific, that's for sure. It's cute and everything for people to deny the fact that we're taking steps towards WWIII, but fact remains, if you look back at previous WWs, there was A LOT less media, intelligence, knowledge, and technology compared to today's world. We simply amplify the potential threats around the world. You cannot live in this life with all these good things that we create without any bad consequences. Man will always disagree and will always resolve to fighting before intelligent resolutions, it's instinctive.

Chase a dog, and it will run into the nearest corner. Keep walking towards it, and it will most likely bark and then bite.

Most of the people on this site are too close-minded & immature to even talk about subjects like this one on a solid level.

I try not to care too much. If a war happens, then it happens. It's nothing that an average Joe, like myself, can prevent or delay.

Knowledge of this life and its surroundings will destroy humanity, and I don't need to be a psychic or a scientist to know that.
