Is WoW nerdy?

okay so at school some people think im a nerd because i used to play WoW (2 years ago) i played for a few hours a day nothing to big but put your feelings for the game aside and tell me if you think it is a nerdy game.

WoW is not a nerdy game, it is more than what people put it out to be. WoW is only a nerdy game if you let yourself get addicted to it. There are plenty of people who play the game as a way to relax and get away from things for a bit and then there are the people who cannot stop playing.

WoW is played by all various age groups of both genders and people from very different socal statuses. Stereotyping WoW as a 'nerds' game is just sad.

I'd say it has to do with the people that admit to playing it. Those who play it and talk about it are the reason everyone is assumed to be nerdy. Funny though that it isn't nerdy to play COD 24/7 but it is to play WoW/RS a few hours.

 

Terrible advice.
If you think people wont be friends with you because you play WoW, they can fuck themselves. They're not real friends than.

 

wow is a much more indepth game than runescpape and requires about 4hrsx3-4 days a week if you r in a raiding guild. so its kinda hard to say its not nerdy playing wow considering how much time it takes up. people also make a living off wow from sponsorship.

 

I think it is, I would never play it. Most people have this general idea of a WoW player who is fat, has glasses and so on. If you don't play it anymore then just tell them to get screwed, say you used to be addicted to it and laugh it off.

Nope. There are plenty of people that play WoW that im sure as hell you wouldn't call nerds.

IE: Fathers with wifes, and vice versa.

Apparently in society today, playing a computer game for 4 hours = 2 days of console gaming.

Well my idea of a WoW nerd is like someone who grinds 24/7 to get high lvls i played for pvp
