    Banned for offsite activities?

The poll a while back was clearly unanimous that you shouldn't be banned for off site activities but I don't think the final verdict was actually stated by any of the staff.

my mistake. But if I remember correctly the majority of users wanted off site stuff to stay off site. What is the ruling on it right now and is it being looked into?

I saw that post in another section for a guy getting banned for that phishing guide (i dont even know what that word means). IMO you shouldn't be banned for anything off site. If so lets ban every drug user on here because thats illegal as well.

I agree about non banning based off of off site activities to a certain extent.

How do we know he wasn't the guy who phished me? Maybe he was the exact person who did it to me. Just because he phished me off another website - should he be allowed here?

I mean obviously if you were found selling a sythe account on another forum then yes, it should be banned without a doubt.

What type of activity are you referring to? Like what things that currently get you banned here don't get you banned off site?

If a person is doing illegal sythe-related activites (keylogs, recovering, hacking) on ANY other site, I feel it's a safety precaution to ban them here. Why on earth would you want those kinds of people in our community?

Because they do not use / bring that attitude here. Thats like saying (inb4badanalogy) that you act the same around your parents as you would with your friends/gf..

Discussion of illegal activities =/= committing illegal activities. As an example, I know many people who are involved on hacking websites, and often discuss the methods used, but the only reason they are there in the first place is so that they can strengthen their own networks and sites.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mens_rea

After reading mens rea these are some of the thing the police in Australia can arrest you for.

Think about it this way: Sythe is like real life, off site activities are illegal, police come and arrest you because you have the guilty mind of committing an offence, they charge you for about to commit a offence. Instead of being arrested you're banned on sythe, gets you off the sythe.org and are incapable of causing harm to me or anybody else on sythe.org.

just because you know how to or trying to know how to commit the offense doesn't mean you are going to do it.

Then tell me how can you tell if they're going to do it or not without ever speaking to them in real life. Tbh, it's better to be safe then sorry and just ban them.

There already guilty of commiting offences in this scenario..... just not on this site, so your argument is invalid because there clearly guilty.....
