Runescape Dragon Pickaxe.

I'm currently going for 99 Mining in the game, and i have the money to invest in a dragon pickaxe, but im just curious is the price stable will it ever go up or down? What yours opinions on this pickaxe and is it 15% faster like the dragon hatchet compared to the rune hatchet?

 

I hear it has 10% less chance of fail-mining. It's worth it if you can afford it, and it should be stable for a long time, unless jagex removes LRC or something drastic

 

definitely worth it, with rune pick at lrc botting i average 38k exp and with dragon pick i get 42k

 

Even if the prices do fluctuate, your profit from mining will be more than what you lose by owning the pick.

Also, the 10% of time saved by using the d pick will additionally make up for any lost gp due to owning the pick.

 

It's stable enough. It might change 400k-500k in a couple of weeks, but it has been around 12-14m for at least a year. I doubt it'll go past those limits any time soon, unless Jagex nerfs them/makes them a PVP drop/makes a Korsai Pickaxe/something else equally stupid like they always do.

 

If you're going for 99 then no doubt buy one, even if it does drop slightly.

 

I would invest in a dragon pickaxe as they will save you a lot of time and you will make the gold you invest within a few days.

It's a good investment if you have the spare cash lying around but only helps with exp per hour. If you doing runite ore then you wouldn't really get a difference in cash per hour.

Okay i bought it and it adds around 5k xp more an hour and the only reason i was worried about the price was because i remember when i first saw it, the price of it was around 15mill, but in a week or two i should have that money back with the increased ores per hour that it gives me...... 83/99, also im level 3 and at the living rock caverns and the xp is incredible there except i can get one hit everytime, but i haven't died at all today. 45k xp an hour, and 140-170k gold an hour on a level 3 aint bad either haha.....Thanks Guys.

 

I had the same question as I started going for 99 mining recently. Even if it drops 500k-1m, the profit you make from mining in LRC (I assume that's where you're mining) will outweigh the loss. Also it's so much faster.

 

definitly buy one like said above the rewards are much higher then the costs. go for it and dont look back. GL
