well there is a fine line between the two i'll give you 2 examples.

I Really like how Rawrasaurus handled that.

and

Rawrasaurus has to be the best person here on sythe hes makes my day so much better great job.

but most people just over brand.

this is what caused me to make this thread.

 

When he called me a suck up or what ever I just thought to my self, another kid that has nothing better to do then Criticize other members and make them feel as though they are not part of the community or cant even post without some one saying somthing negative.

Just makes unwanted Drama and can result in a ban when they take it further then they need to.

 

Don't we all eat cookies though?

 

For the most part we're a good group of people. I'll be glad when this big argument is all over.

 

There's an obvious difference between ass kissing and showing respect..

Ass kissing: Commenting on every single one of a mod/admins post saying " I agree, cool, I like how you said that" and having nothing else in the comment.

Respect: Making a feedback thread on a mod which has been doing a great job. They deserve to be recognized considering all the work they do.


Most mods/admins get annoyed at ass kissers anyway, or that's just my take on it.

 

I agree with that, however people seem to frequently confuse the 2 and call people ass kissers for being appreciative. It's kind of annoying, as I know if I was a member of staff, positive feedback would keep me motivated to do a good job. But when there are people on a mission to prevent people from saying positive things, there becomes a lack in the area of praise.
