4.0 and Leveling!

Hey guys, incase you didn't know 4.0 is coming and will have a drastic effect on leveling!

I'm wondering if you guys think this is a good or bad thing? Are new players being spoonfed now or is this change injecting some much needed life into the early-leveling system?

I personally think the latter, class specs are being introduced earlier into the game and hence become viable earlier in the game. Ever tried leveling as a feral druid from 1-20? xD

Wow. What would be the best talents for a 19 twink hunter?

Also: they said they would be rebalancing hunters, but this seems to help them...

 

They only balance classes at max level. Also, you don't know what the damage modifiers are for any of these abilities so you can't really say whether a class is going to be balanced or not.

 

I'd have to say putting more life into the early levels. I think that the veteran 80's will be upset though, having done it the hard way to see it now being done like that; much easier/exciting.

 

Pyroblast had a name change. It's now "Pyroblast!"

Idk about hunters tbh. I was playing on ptr on my 19 hunt and Aimed shot has a 3.5 sec cast time, exploding shot was instant and did about 240 dmg over 2 seconds.

Edit- logging on now to get exact numbers for you.

Ok explosive shot: Hits three times per cast over 2 seconds, I was getting 80 dmg non crits and about 155 dmg crits.

Aimed shot: about 240 non crit, 500 crit. Also has no CD.

 

So Cataclysm is coming!
I should dust off my warrior and get it to level 80 (72 atm.) before Cataclysm.

 

they are spoon feeding new players. My days of WoW are coming to an end shortly i will buy cata but if it's garbage oh well.

 

I wouldn't necessarily say they are making IT easy. getting to level 80 is a pain in the ass, getting to 85 will be more. I'd understand if they make at least 1-70 easier (which this will do). So that new players aren't that far behind others.

 

Yeah I'm usually against Blizzard making things easier, but i think these early leveling changes are for the best.

Lets just hope they don't make hardmodes casual-accessible xD

 

honestly they are behind because they either rolled a new toon or started wow fresh. To be quite frank with you i don't give a rats ass how boring it is to level if we had to endure it why shouldn't they.

Making casuals able to down hard modes isn't the end out the world nor game breaking get off your high horse.

 

To be honest I think it is. I'm not saying End game bosses, I'm saying the hardmode versions of such bosses. Hardmodes were implemented in the first place to provide content that catered to the hardcore raider. By making that content accessible to the casual, your destroying that part of the game.

on topic - your basically want to be better then people who like to do outside activities and work and go to school. That i can understand since you put more work into the game.

If a casual guild can down a hard mode then how does their game play affect you? You can't run around looking better? stroke your epeen as you top meters?
Like i said get off your high horse your complaining about other peoples game play and life style.

FYI I'm pretty sure arena people deal with the bullshit also they give out wrathful off pieces from badges and honor.

Cool your jets bro. I don't think you really understand what I'm saying. I don't want hardcore raiders to be "better" than casuals, all I'm saying is that there should be some sort of payoff for those who invest time into the game. If an experienced, proficient casual guild is able to down harder content thats awesome, I just want the system to stay how it is right now, where the guild needs a certain level of ability to access harder and harder content.

I never said anything about harder bosses not dropping loot. Your real original ''cool story bro'' The only reason i could see you not wanting casuals being able to down hard modes is for better gear and higher dps if there is something else do tell.

 

I'm not sure what your on about anymore, all I'm saying is that I hope they dont change the current difficulty of raids.

That includes the current gear/hardmodes system.
