    Sythe IRC -- Monitored Trade Network -- BETA released
    Hi all,

    I've been working on a modified IRCd suitable for sythe.org's realtime chat needs, and the beta is ready to be tested.

    To join:

    Download an irc client such as mIRC if you don't already have one. Basic guide on using mIRC here: http://www.mirc.com/ircintro.html
    1. Connect to host: irc.sythe.org, port: 6667
    2. Find the "[IRC_TOKEN]" link on this page (change to nextgen lite if you can't see it.)
    3. Click it, refresh the page, click it again, then copy the token string.
    4. Use the token to log into IRCSythe by typing /login <token-string-here> after your IRC client connects. Your nick will be hard-set to your Sythe.org username and you can then use the server like any other IRC network.

    Notice: bad behaviour will not be tolerated on the network. Sythe.org rules apply.

    You must have a valid (unbanned) sythe.org account to login, and your sythe.org username is the only nick the server will allow you to use.

    Once you're logged in:

    /join #IRCSythe

    Any questions post here. A better guide will come later when we move out of beta.

    PS: The IRC is not just for trade. Chat is also allowed.

    But I like the idea. It's a good concept - let's see how it goes.

    Check the URL, it has an added bracket which is not needed.

    So this is going to be usable as an MSN alternative? Since accounts verify and such?

    This is the greatest idea I've seen on a trading site like this. Great job, and I like the new improvements like the theme and such, but one thing, my token never shows up?

    you must be connected to the Sythe IRC first, click the IRC_Token then refresh the page.

    EDIT: Probably the most innovative thing I've seen for a Trading Network. Im astounded.

    I am connected onto the Sythe IRC, but when I click IRC_Token and refresh a page, it says IRC_Token again.
