Don't Allow People to say "Trusted" on thread titles

I believe that people should not be able to say "trusted" on their thread title unless they have the Highly Trusted rank.

    Example: [9 Vouches]XXXX's MMing[Trusted]

Reasoning: People should be allowed to present evidence that they should be trusted and that they are trusted by others, whether that evidence being vouches from trades and MMs, or a rank, or a donation status, however, they should not be able to tell other people that they are trusted. Trusted is an subjective term, and one should be able to determine for themselves whether they trust someone. The person may present the evidence (mentioned above) that COULD make them trusted in ones mind, but it does not NECESSARILY make them trusted.

For example, technically, someone is "trusted" after one vouch, but I wouldn't trust anyone on this site with my dad's bank account information.

Conclusion (TL;DR Version): People should be able to choose what they think is trusted, and therefore it should be added to the rules that anyone with "trusted" in their thread title will have it removed and receive 1 infraction.

Anyone putting trusted in their thread titles get an automatic IP search from me. I don't appreciate people trying to make themselves look like what they are not.

This has been denied multiple times.

No support. Just cause I have TWC doesn't mean I can't be trusted.

Its really harmless to be honest.

If the buyer and or seller believes that the person is trusted just because if says so on a thread well , that's their own fault.

Its really up to the person to check vouches and the authenticity of them etc before trading further.

A mod can't "Approve" someone being trusted or not...Mods can scam just like a leecher..? Mods have been banned and or demoted for corruption so really anyone can scam even if they are trusted.
It's just a risk you take with a site like this , although there are ways to minimize these risks.

I don't think putting a "Trusted" tag in their title makes people go to them more.

Um, no. The TWC is there so others know to be very careful while trading with you.

OT: I think the idea is fine, how would you get a "Trusted Rank?"

I don't think it's that much of an issue. The only reason you'd disallow members to have [Trusted] in there headings would be to stop scamming. Even then it wouldn't do much.

i personally don't think donation rank should be used to gain trust, but i do like the fact that anyone who uses them gets checked on by firez - Good job firez =)

I also don't find it much of an issue if people choose to trust people with low vouches join date and post count based on the fact they have trusted in their title then.

I don't think they should ban the word trusted from titles.

I don't support. It's your fault if you trust a leecher which has "trusted" in their thread title.

    Support.

Also, infract and lock threads posting 'rare names' that aren't actually rare, and total shite.

The issue with that is figuring out what names are rare and which ones are not. I mean, its only an infraction which makes it not that important and mods shouldn't have to spend a lot of time on it.

    Stay on topic, please.

Please read the thread before posting. We are not BANNING for it, just infracting and removing it.

Thats 1 of the least important issues in the market. No the reason this was denied before is because you disallow the trusted word they'll just come up with a different word etc etc

Sorry. Same thing applies here. Disallowing everyone from using the phrase in their titles is a moderation problem, as everyone would do it anyways most likely. Letting certain people use trusted causes a problem because its hard to decide who is trusted and only allowing those who have a trusted rank doesn't really help as there is only a handful of them.

If it is false advertising then they will be banned for scamming anyway.

We've got enough rules as it is. No need to restrict advertising phrases more than necessary.
