Following Chris's suggestion.

If a user does not ask for a PM and files a scam report specifically saying they did not ask for a PM, we disregard the report completely or somewhat.

 

Or how about proof of PM must be provided to make a scam report valid. Any scammer report without a PM will be archived.

 

That's what I'm saying they need to provide proof of them PMIng first.

I too vote with Marcell here - no PM of confirmation, no report.
I think Sythe suggested something along these lines when Tyro was hacked (that he should only have to compensate half since a PM was not requested), but I believe it should be implemented completely.

 

Yeah I remember that but half is just ridiculous. It should be no pm no compensation at all.

 

I like this.. If your Msn was hacked, you really wouldn't have to worry that much about him/her scamming people.

Not counting, this would cut down on false reports and help people be more cautious when trading.

 

You can't fake PM's via Sythe because they can just check them so yea..No more fake reports either.

I am agreeable with this. If you didn't bother to request a PM, you shouldn't be entitled to a compensation.

I'm sick of seeing stupid members keep whining because they didn't request a PM. With this new rule, they'll learn a lesson.

Msn conversations can be fake aswell, it is really NOT hard.
If someone is willing to pm me there msn, I will be happy to add them and show.

I do NOT agree with this. sythe is down 20% of the time or more.
so every time sythe is down, nobody will be able to perform trades because they want a PM first.

I think when a scammer has posted his e-mail and you have proof of that, it is enough for a ban.

no support, it's just stupid. Most users will be banned anyway, without solid prove that they msn were hacked.

This idea should definitely be implemented, staff msn's seem to be constantly hacked and im not a fan of the "your responsible for you msn" rule if its been hacked. Sythe isnt down ALL the time but yes that could be a little problem but shouldnt be to hard just to wait till its back up.
