Membership Sales forum gone.

If you know what your doing and have a legitimate buyer, then that shouldn't happen.

 

It doesn't agree because I do profit off some membership trades as well.
I get free Ultimate Gamer Cards sometimes, thus I get profit. (Job perk, I guess?)

What?? Why?? I've saved $500+ for members with pins. This is BS. Also not all pins are illegal, I've had people sell me pins bought in legit way.

 

If you get them for free then, its probably an illegal method( NOT saying it is, but most of the time that's the case). So in the end there's no difference if you'd use a *******, if your method is illegal.

 

Lol, I don't get memberships illegally.
I work at FYE and I get free shit + store discounts.
Some I buy with discounts (for the community) and some I get for free (profit for me, but for the community as well).
Do you see what I am saying now?

Simple solution: Don't allow pins to be sold. Only allow Ultimate Gamer Cards, Pre-Paid RS Mems Cards, etc.

 

That's quite an empty promise, as you can never prove where your pin was from...

 

Yes, I do agree with you that the majority of the memberships on here are acquired illegally, but I am positive that there are a select few who are legit.
How would you like me to prove this?
I can take a picture of the Ultimate Gamer Cards/RS Pre-Paid cards I purchase?
You can call my manager at the FYE I work at and ask if I actually purchase these membership cards? (If my superior is up for it, of course.)

Edit: Also, I am not selling pins. I sell Ultimate Gamer Cards & Pre-Paid RS Mem Cards.

 

I suppose due to the price they're selling their pins at. We can never tell for sure as they can just hike up the price and claim they're legit. I haven't thought it through yet.

It might be a bitch to find out who is really legit, but I think it's worth it.

 

Transfer's method is pretty much, I think, the best solution. Don't allow pbp or sms pins to be sold, only gamer cards ect..

Honestly, most ultimate gamer cards are also obtained illegally. I know this because I used to play an FPS called War Rock. A site called Playspan.com sold War Rock premiums, which allowed players to get better guns. PlaySpan is the company that runs the UGC program and you can buy Ultimate Gamer Cards with their "ultimate points" on their site. While I played War Rock, a few in-game friends taught me a survey glitch on playspan. With this glitch, most of us were able to obtains $1000s of War Rock premiums and either sell them or use them on our accounts.

This survey glitch, or using bots on the surveys, is probably how most people obtain such cheap UGCs, that they sell at pure profit.

In addition, direct USA runescape memberships can be bought from these playspan points.

So ultimately (no pun intended), we cannot truly know what memberships are "legit".

 

If you would of read my above posts, you will see that people can prove that they aren't obtained illegally.
I can take a picture of receipts and all as well. (If I can find them, l0l.)

I think a big amount of Sythe's community will be upset if they have to pay regular price for RS mems again, but it's not my decision whether to change this or not.
Oh well.

Although I do agree that the reason to close the membership sales forum was justified and probably necessary.
