Stricter on Guide Forum Spamming

Constantly, I see posts "Get this verified, I'll buy." Sadly, people post this on nearly every thread.

Examples:

My suggestion, makes the guide forum infractions more strict. Make like after 3 times of asking to either verify guides, or flaming as above is a 1 week ban from the forum. After that, escalate.

 

i did this about 2 minutes ago, if i didnt, then what if that person who is selling the guide, gets it verified, and then doesnt no im buying?

Add the person on Msn.. You don't need to post saying I'll buy when verified. Odds are, you aren't and just want the post count.

Try just adding their Msn, or simple sending a PM.

You don't need to post you're buying when it's verified. Wait till it's verified to post, if you're not going to buy it before then.

 

I agree with this, I'm tired of seeing it when it's on the stickies.

 

I agree, I constantly report these type of spam posts. I think to enforce it more harshly, offering to verify a guide when you are not authorized or posting "ill buy if verified" should be a quicker temp ban than normal.

Users are stupid and don't read individual sub-forum rules. Making a sticky that explicitly says it makes sure that all users see it when they go to the guide sales forum.

Definitely agree. This tripe can only be solved through harsh methods such as the one you suggested.
