He posted a thread and was banned.

 

Then it's his job to go to the dispute section, find the sticky that says the ban was unwarranted, and he'll be unbanned.
It might have been for vading.

I agree. Even most of infractions are not fair, you can't even say your opinion because you get infracted. Just joined but already can tell - worst community i ever seen.

 

I'm sorry, but I personally disagree with this. I believe Sythe is as strict as it should be and should not change. If they find a person a scammer or dangerous in some way to Sythe.org, then I think they have the right to ban him. For the Lukef555 case, it doesn't matter that he didn't use the keylogger, or he explained it on another site. Because he made that choice on another site, the mods feel comfortable keeping him out of their site.

 

We;re not talking about specific cases such as lukef555.

We're talking that, in general, people need second chances.

 

I still disagree. If the members of Sythe think people need a second chance, then maybe they should try reading the rules and thinking before they post something.

Maybe half of the problem is that users don't know what the full ban was for, as mods refuse to say most of the time, giving users a bad impression and thinking that the rules are to strict.

Like Syed just said that somebody got banned for posting a auth selling thread and it should of been just an infraction, but after Verts said it was for ban evading it makes the ban fully just. Just an example on this thread.

But yeh, half the time I don't even see why there is a dispute forum, its like 1/100 disputes that get accepted. Some of these people probably contribute to the forum to make it a nicer community, somebodys said that this is the worst, in a way I can see what he means.

 

Lossen the spam talliies up I think....I don't even notice when I get infracted, but I've gotten close to being banned for it.

Yes, 99% of the bans are warranted, but mods are still way to strict to the rules.

Sindre stated earlier that he banned someone for saying they scammed some pixels a while ago so here's my question.
So, if I said I use to lure in runescape, would that be considered scamming? Would I get banned for "scamming"?

I know we're not posting certain instances, but I do want to say a few.

Austin: He said the words the wrong way, it's BS. He's a great mod/all around person and helps me with loads of things.
Luke: I like luke, but talking about keyloggers is a bit suspicious. I support the ban, but the TWC may of been fine. Then again, I never saw his post, nor do I claim I did.
Syed: Banned for trolling? He pissed a few people off.. Yes he was being dick, but still-.-. Got unbanned though so <3
Deserved bans:
Giddy: He deserved a ban, CP is illegal as Verts already posted.
Jcash: Whatever.. He was leaking mod's private Msns, and various other things.

Even considering this, the staff is GREAT. Sythe has one of the best staffs, but as stated before; they can be a bit to strict.

Support, mods on the site are the strictest by far.

 

some bans are harsh But if thats the case they will be overuled and unbanned so I guess its ok as it is .

 

To be honest, the harshness of the rules on sythe is what prevents me from participating in the community and donating.

I don't like the way things are ran, in general, in sythe but this is hand's down the best underground community for runescape and XBL, so I have to deal with it.

I've seen people be banned for posting "that account is not worth $300." too many times.
I've seen people be banned for scamming... a scammer that has already been banned on sythe. (This makes me 'lol')
I've seen people banned for releasing guides... that don't work. ??????

Some of the rules are purely lame.

I don't know which mods are responsible for the majority of bans, but all bans, with regards to non-scamming offences, should be reconsidered.
Loosen the panties boys, it would solidify sythe's dominance over all of the other forums.

 

The main issue is the unwillingness for the mods to even consider giving someone another chance. *Cough*Syeds Ban and that thread that all you mods know about*Cough*

There is no reason for the harshness. Banning members just hurts the community more.

I'm glad to have it since you know what goes on, and I can't believe they don't give second chances either.

This is seriously deteriorating the community for everyone, and instead of having a community you choose to make it into a tyrannical cesspit.


Can some more people please input this? Can some high ups review this more? Has anyone even considered this? I mean come on, listen to your people. This is what they are saying. Have you no heart for the people?

 

They are just doing there job. Give them a break...
