Account verifiers (2)

Hey dudes.
I have a suggestion, not really a good suggestion, but it might help out, i guess.

Lots of untrusted users post accounts that aren't theirs in attempts to scam. I think that we need two or three "Account verifiers" that would go in-game (Runescape, not sure if others are applicable/needed) and verify the ownership, along with the wealth and stats.
This would have to be someone online a lot who can be asked to do it as often as needed. I don't think a rank is necessary, just like the guide verifiers.
I myself have verified two accounts that belong to leechers, and it looks better on their thread. Just trying to help out legit leechers, and reduce possible scammers.

I somewhat support this. But I've never bought/sold an account without using an MM.. As long as you use an MM you should be safe.. So, we don't really NEED account verifiers, as long as people are smart about buying and selling their accounts. However, I do agree that it could be helpful, if people don't want to pay for an OMM, and don't trust regular MM's, it's hard to buy and sell things over the internet, it's all about trust

 

It'd be very tedious for an amount of people to visit every person who wanted to sell an account and verify them.. >.>'

I dont support, its too complicated and would get overrun with people having to verify.

 

I support, there should be list of people who could verify accounts ( not only mods, trusted sythe traders also )

 

OMMs and staff are the ones who verify accounts. It'd be too tempting for regular sythe users.

 

Yes, but think about it, say i'm a verifier and i wake up to 20 requests. i send a mass pm and tell them all to meet me on world 999 at lumby. That will take <5 minutes.

However, This is only covering a small problem, considering this is checked by a middleman, and if your not using a Middleman, then you've already decided to take a risk While trading, Selecting several people to confirm the accounts of the sellers that dont want to use a MM is pointless, they're already risking getting scammed.

 

I don't think this is worth it. It would become just another team to establish, now we'll at least first have to get the guide verifiers team to work.

If someone wants to buy an account, there should be no problem for the seller to meet the buyer in-game.

If you really want your account verified ask an online market mod and most of the time they'd be glad to help.

 

Chances are if you need to get your account verified, you also probably need an MM when trading. You can also arrange an MM in advance and have them verify the guide.

 

This is a good idea but it could also be all for nothing. Because think about it, great you got the account verified so we know the account is legit but after account is sold owner recovers the account. So the account is legit then but the leecher wasn't.

 

I personally find it easier to just pm the person on the account if I wan't to buy it. Much faster/easier and you wouldn't have to wait for a verifier to come online.

 

I agree. If the person is gonna trust you enough to sell you the account, they might as well just show it to you in game, once they verify your a legit buyer.

 

It probably wont fit in with sythe. Not saying it's a bad idea, it's just it wont be good in my opinion.

 

There is no point in having this, if someone is
sketchy about an account they're buying, they
can always ask an OMM or a mod to verify.

 

I like this idea very much, I was recently mming a account worth about $500 then some random used picture of the account I was mming. The person I was mming for asked for the trade to be cancelled, Luckily the payment wasn't sent and everything worked out fine.

So my answer is yes, there should be a few trusted people to be able to verify accounts with a high status.

Btw a rank should be included as it can prove you are a account verifier.
