That's the only part I'm not sure of, I believe Surfpin pays for it(?).

Deducing this from Syed's and others' posts, I think the Telstra reseller line gets charged out of its phone bill, which is infinite, so surfpin must end up paying for the pin. UNLESS surfpin is the company creating X number of pins per month for Jagex. If this is the case, then it seems the pin is just free.

I think you have a valid point. Unless we know exactly how this stuff works, then there is no sense speculating.

We may just be getting way ahead of ourselves with all this.

Pinlines are like drugs, they are both illegal, they should be stopped. But hey! As long as Sythe stays outta shit with Fagex, who cares? All this is a back and forth fight (this and that)...

As long as they work, I don't give a fuck about how they were obtained. Buying PINs for the retail value of $7.95 then selling for $4.00 is obviously not making the seller any profit. Since we have PIN lines, PINs are cheap, which is to the benefit of everyone.

Really don't care, as long as I get my pin at a low cost and I do not get prosecuted for it, I'm fine.

Staples is a multi billion dollar company. Would Sythe.org allow Staples employees to sell a bunch of stolen netbooks at cut rate prices on here? Just curious, I mean the time is takes to get a return on a rebate from that place is outrageous, they might as well be crooks right?

Stealing is stealing, whether you feel like you're playing some glorified Robin Hood or not, at the end of the day you're just trying to line your own pockets by supporting theft from others.

The policy should be the same as Sythe's policy on selling stolen goods. If it is proven that you are selling stolen goods, you will be permanently banned.

    Double Standards.

I'm going to end this discussion once and for all. Verts would never say such a thing, you get the quote and the link to the thread that its posted on and i will mail you my left testicle. 2nd of all The statement said before was that you can be banned for selling ********s, or getting caught using them, but they dont ask people how they obtain pins, they could just buy em and sell em for lower if they like LOTS of online rep for a cost. hey, its cheaper than spyike's form of it, so whatever, discussion is over IMO until you find that quote and link to thread and post, in which i will reply with a small box containing my left testicle

I KNOW verts well enough to know she KNOWS the rules more than sythe does himself and would never say such a thing

Eh, I mean Sythe's current policy with pinlines is a "don't ask, don't tell" sort of thing which is fine by me (I don't even know what they are). I don't really see a problem with them.

It is illegal. I feel it as some staff covering up for other staff and possibly friends. The staff are not bias on rules in any fucking way!

Illegal is Illegal and SHOULD NOT be aloud.

In Jagex TOC it states. you cannot individually sell and distribute pins... I'm pretty sure anyways, not 100%

It's in Jagex's terms. It's like saying that selling RuneScape accounts and gold are illegal. It is in their terms but it is not illegal in anyway. I have seen topics all over different forums discussing this and account selling and how they are illegal but tons of people point out that they are not illegal and they prove it. As long as the person selling you the pin did not steal it and obtained it legally (i.e. SwagBucks, Prize Rebel, etc.), they are allowed to sell it. It may be against Jagex's TOS, but they can't find out in anyway and it's not illegal because you were given that card legally. So yeah...theres my answer.

the bold part . thats why this is call BLACK MARKET for a reason .

and for pinlines . staff dont have a way to check if the pins were obtained from a pinlines . people might sell pins at like $3.50 each because they can get it from their phone and the parents just pay for the bills without asking the price ? its like an extra allowence for the guy . though is not much ...

I highly doubt that is ever the case. The parents would be basically throwing money away. Might as well give them to the kid. Plus, they would notice the charges on the phone bill and ask questions.
