For those who think Aliens are fake, think about this statement.

Proof, makes me believe that the universe is huge. We've seen billions of lightyears away. Don't tell me the universe is small.

agreed 120% there is no way that we can be the only ones living the fact that people even think about that is completely irrelevant.

 

I'm not saying that life can only originate with earth-like conditions at all. What I am saying is that because we have only seen life emerge once (with earth conditions) and we haven't observed it on the moon or on mars (where admittedly there has been less searching), we are led to a tenuous idea that for life to arise there must be a semblance of earth like features.

Anything else is pure speculation, as we have never observed any kind of life originating from a non earth-like environment.

 

I completely understand where you're coming from, but if you take into consideration the amount of planets there has to be in the Universe, the conditions that life could develop from, and the amount we haven't observed yet, you get a very large chance that atleast one planet has unearthly life on it. That's all I'm saying.

In the biblical story there was a storm. Jesus impressed all of his apostles by walking on the water of the lake. Peter tried it and succeeded but lost his faith and started to drown but Jesus saved him.

You should really read a biology textbook instead of blaming the government and non-existent alien civilizations for people's inability to wear condoms and get regular STI tests.

I completely agree. Without proper knowledge in these areas estimating the prevalence of life is complete guesswork.

But we don't have a reasonable estimate for the values of the majority of variables within that equation, so it's pure speculation.

 

I'm not saying that life doesn't exist anywhere else, only that it is ignorant to say it could develop on any planet.

 

It all depends on how you look at it honestly

 

We are not the only living organisms present in the universe, there might not be scientific proof that can prove it, but then think why there are so many planets.

 

Why is there so many planets?
The "Aliens" could of been living before us.
Think about it,they could be extinct as the time for their life is gone.
The universe could of existed before Earth.

 

Well my personal opinion is that the universe is just so expansive, and we are such a small speck in the entire plot of things. So who knows, I'm sure there must be other plants that support life (although not necessarily aerobic (oxygen breathing) organisms, but simple life forms such as bacteria, or even more complex anaerobic multicellular organisms).

Considering the theories of how life started on earth (panspermia, undersea thermal vents, amino acid pools (and creationism..)) it's quite possible the conditions are there, and could potentially formulate life on another system.

 

The universe existed long before earth, at least eight billion years. The sheer size makes it a near certainty that some kind of life exists somewhere. Whether it would be possible for us to ever make and maintain contact, whether radio or physical, is another matter entirely.

 

I agree. The universe is never-ending; it never stops. The odds of extraterrestrial life actually existing are acclamatory. Whether these "aliens" are a complicated structure of systems, or just microscopic organisms, they more than likely do exist.

Think about it. Why would we, on Earth, be the only living organisms in an infinity-mile radius?

Well, it's totally different pertaining to which way you look at it. If you see it from a scientific point of view, then yes, all of this makes perfect sense. But if you look at it from a religious standpoint, it can't be possible. According to the bible, God only created life on Earth. He created "mankind."

Alien's don't need to be highly intelligent life. They could be bacteria and such existing on other planets. Humans weren't just created, they evolved from something, I pity your acceptance of fallacies if you are a creationist. I look forward to hearing about our discovery of a canine infested planet, or an oxygen-less planet containing vast forms of strange new life.

The idea of life comes from the human idea that all beings on Earth need a few basic things, water, oxygen etc. This is why it is hard for humans to believe in the idea of there being other "lifeforms", surviving on planets with minimal or no water, oxygen etc.

 

Yes, but what we need to see is that lifeforms on other planets may not require the same essentials that we require.

 

As humans, we have defined what a lifeform is specific to us and our planet, not others from different galaxys etc.

 

Aliens are real​

Aliens are real, it would be literally IMPOSSIBLE for them not to, but it doesn't mean they're going to go invading us. We are just too far away. Everybody, Everything, Every speck of matter with electrons dies eventually. 25 Light years to our nearest star.. Have you thought about how fast light is.. 8 Minutes to travel 96 Million Miles. Nothing can do it, If anybody believes Travelling at the speed of light is possible, Let me tell you, It's not. When a meteor burns up it's because of the atmosphere reacting with it's immense speed, which is nothing compared to the speed of light and meteors set on fire and burn up. Anything travelling at any speed even CLOSE to the speed of light would disintergrate. Meaning aliens are not here. Homosapiens maybe, but not aliens from another plant. Also, Planet X is just another pathetic hoax. Does nobody realise? If the world is going to end in 2012, why do companies still SELL BOOKS on it. If they're going to die they don't need the money. It's just a scandel.
