My method of getting tokens:

F2P:
Will use mage if the hunted has armor, if the magic level of your account is 47+, for water blast which hits 14.
Will use melee if it is a decent level, and has a good weapon for your accounts attack level.
Will use range if it's a range pure/tank, or has a decent range level. 75+ for level 60s, 80+ for 70-90, 87-89+.

P2P:
Will use mage if Desert Treasure is completed, and on ancient spell books with a magic level of 70+, for ice burst.
Will use range, if best bow for the level is required, minus dark bow, karils xbow, and rune cbow. Will use crappy knives/darts if a decent amount depending on the amount of tokens you wish to have.
Will use melee, if 50+ attack(lowest weapon being brine sabre/granite maul]. and 65+ strength for 60+, and 75+ str for 70+, and 82+ str for 80+.
